Speaking impartially as someone who does not belong to a static or a raiding FC, nor has even completed T5 due to a discouraging amount of really bad PUGs...

The reason this content doesn't go on Duty Finder straight away is because the developers try to encourage players to group together for content on their own. Those that are able to group on their own get first crack at the content. One can consider the delayed Duty Finder inclusion to be a kind-of "soft lock" on fresh content.

And I am okay with this. I don't even care about Coil right now. The whole point of Coil is to get a bunch of imaginary items before everyone else. That's really it. That's not to say I don't covet some of those items myself (like the White Raven Armor Fragments), but I'm not willing to go through the stress and the hassle of getting verbally abused myself or watching someone else get verbally abused just because someone made a mistake. Coil can be a very toxic place and I don't like it. I might as well be running Aurum Vale in full AF1 gear at 50 with a bunch of impatient people with short tempers. That's how "fun" Coil is with the social climate of the game right now.

Well some ppl are putting words on my lips, i never said for the lockout to be lifted, just for the content to be on DF. Also ive been putting Pf on my server
(Behemoth) and i get 4 ppl after a while, then i take some more minutes and one more join, then one left, and other, and other, and it took hours for the party to simply disband. On Df the chance for that to happen is lower.

Also nearly beat Ramuh Ex yesterday on DF, more than i have ever achieved on PF. DF is not for terrible ppl you know.

If you have time to waste using DF to do raid content as soon as it comes out you have time for a premade group, if you are not bad like you say then you will have no problem. You're on primal data center too lol you will be in there all day without any hope of a clear.

Could be attributed to myself and other groups like us selling Ramuh and everyone has their rings now. It's pretty old content (3 months) so there just isn't a pool of player to join with.

I, and my group, dislike Ramuh unless it's for gil. Not an interesting fight.

I'am with OP , Party Finder sometimes became just not an option --->especially if you offline/working/vacation 1st week after content release . DF allways up and welcome player with any skill & experience , by joining Duty Finder i understand that i may not win battle , but at least i can SEE Content and get my Exp up !!

Isn't that the state of events now anyway? Over the period of playing this game, I've noticed more people are bored/frustrated over not having the same access to content because their raid groups fall apart after a period of time or are unsuccessful in co-coordinating and pushing for set raid times and they lose out. After a while that turns into lethargy, where they don't bother any more and just focus on other aspects of the game or they wait it out until they have better staticRNG luck next update...or as you mentioned, move on to another game that more ticks their schedule (which isn't a bad thing, I agree - if the game doesn't suit you, it is unfortunately always better to shop around).

DF Parties for T5 where I was the only English player, I would be grouped with other Japanese players who CLEARLY were new to the fight and there for practice or a clear. The JP never begrudged them though if they failed to pass a phase or, worst-case scenario, caused a wipe. I'm assuming because they realise with the DF anyone can join so it's like buyer beware for them if they do go in.

So while they do use and prefer to use PF for practice they are CLEARLY using DF for practice as well, and I'm starting to wonder that if Coil was put straight away in DF, that they wouldn't jump on it wholeheartedly (no seriously, I'm curious...they're so polite sometimes and won't even insult each other in the "traditional" loud-mouthed way I expect that I'm baffled sometimes to what the consensus Japanese player base thinks on this )

being on a lower population server may make lag easier and login queues nonexistent, but it doesn't help with finding statics.

Now, if SE could make party finder and friend lists cross data center, so I could at least go into a party finder for one of these things with higher population servers, that would make things a lot easier.

There aren't a lot of statics open for a server with less than a thousand players on at any one time.

I see a lot of Japanese players who use DF to pratice and even state that it is their first time in that content and they may need some pratice getting it down.

By delaying the introduction of content to duty finder, you increase the odds of successful duty finder attempts than if it had been implemented in DF straight away.
When leviathan came out, the only way to learn it was through party finder for a good few weeks, when it was released in the Duty Finder, I found it had the highest success rate of any extreme I've done through the duty finder, generally almost every group killed it.
Why? Because the general population was more knowledgeable about the fight before entering the Duty Finder, it resulted in more successful groups, essentially increasing the success rate of Duty Finder.
I'd say it's a worthwhile price to pay.
