Is there a risk of ban if you happen to have gil transaction with RMT?

Apparently none of this has raised any suspicions, it's clear that the people hired for monitoring the market/housing are not doing their job, when someone can spend hundreds of millions like nothing while having zero market presence as a seller.

Ah, but you see in XI this would automatically flag you and raise further suspension because that's way too much gil being flung around by ONE person - The thing is, with ARR, Yoshida said he's avoiding banning people, mainly on the principle that an account could be compromised and no one would like to come back to a banned account. So even if it raises suspensions, the question that obviously has to be asked is:

"Who does it hurt?"

Unless it hinders your gameplay, they're really not going to bother with it. It does suck to see, especially after Yoshida said recently he can see how much gil EVERYONE has and can see that plenty of people can afford the plots and so on.

Well, I guess they don't have to be banned, just have their gil taken away. Or their house lol...I dunno, they must have had a reason for putting that line in the patch notes about not buying housing with gil from RMT, so either they're not following through with it or those people are getting their gil legitimately.

I'm sure some people might come up with a reason or two for how it affects them, or the economy in general, but that's a whole different argument imo.

What the special task force needs to do is look at these free company's who buy mansions for 50-80 mil with in a short period of time.

I can understand if the free company has a lot of members but then again you have these ones who barely have crafts up and barely half members.

it took me 2-3 months of saving gil got me 2million and rank 6 and got around 500k from 2 other members for the permit I haven't a lot of members because a few quit I had to boot them cause they said they aren't coming back but when I hit rank 8 I may end up start to recruit again.

I just don't see someone farming non stop around the clock selling items for a good price and getting 50-80 million gil unless everyone went out farming like crazy and gave the gil to one person for the house.

Then again I see tons of people complaining on forums about how high the prices are makes me think some of these people decided to buy gil

called merc runs. Can easily make 10mill a night selling Ramuh and Other things right now.

Well. here's an update:

Yesterday I sent a tell to the person, asking if they bought my overpriced materias on purpose, but they were AFK and never replied. Later on, they just logged out without replying to my /tell.

Today I tried again when the person wasn't away. They were somewhere in the field on BLM 50, queuing in some Duty Finder. Never replied. When I recalled to search them again, they were back in their FC house (Small) in the Goblet but was AFK. I didn't send more tell at that time.

Then just a few minutes ago, I searched while I was fishing and found that they were in Southern Thanalan on BLM so I sent a tell "Hello! Can I talk to you please?" Their only reply was "Hello?" and then all silence even after I finished explaining and asking.

I get extremely uncomfortable talking to a stranger who does not say anything back so I kept searching the character over and over.... After a while the person went to Ul'dah - Steps of Nald and was there for several minutes without replying to me. Then, they went to Steps of Thal, which I imagine they were checking the market board?

The person was all quiet for at least 25 minutes and I decided to drop my fishing and return to Ul'dah to peek at what they were doing. They were walking around near the zone line in the market, then moved to Steps of Nald, slowly heading to near Chocobokeep. I followed them and I can't tell if they acknowledged my presence, but they did stop walking A LOT and I imagine they were looking at me (without targeting me). Then they stopped walking and teleported away to Limsa.

It creeps me out I think I'll just keep the money and drop the idea of giving them some reimburse. I don't like creepy stuff.

It's not that I don't want the gil. I was so happy that I earned a million, because I'm poor and I'm struggling to save up for FC housing. But spending 1.2 mil for something that should only cost 500k SUCKS BIG TIME for everyone and I felt sorry for the unfortunate person. Now I give up, though. At least my trying to contact them lifted the guilt I was feeling (it felt like I scammed them).

Now I just hope they are legit. I would be sad panda if one day I wake up and find out that a million gil was gone from my pocket because some gil got removed from the server.

don't worry, i know a lot of people doing RMT and they never get banned
as long as you still pay subs, you will be fine
