Maybe new to tanking higher level dungeons. Normally in low level dungeons there isn't any AOE blasting going on.

I think that's what everyone should do, observe the party! Not just tunnel vision and be like I'm DPS so I'll just DPS regardless what happens, or I'm a healer so I'll just keep healing and healing, or I'm a tank so I'll just tank the mob blindly.

Even still, this isn't really a new player. Someone new to tanking, is starting off with 90 gear and starting on hard dungeons? Sounds a little fishy.

I ran across the same thing when I was a fresh 15 tank doing sastasha. It's annoying and disheartening that you can't do you're job properly due to DPS and maybe Healers getting aggro all the time.

This isn't an issue now, but I do notice more people rushing instances. Tanks pulling way too many mobs for the healer to deal with initially. DPS and healers pulling mobs for the Tank to tank. Its a mess. This is why I don't queue for DF as a healer. I might keep everyone alive, but that's just too much pressure for what? 1 recommendation? Crafting mat at the end?

Not even sure if the levelup dungeons are a good lesson either, many dps seem to restrain at best or just not know to aoe dps, yet the mobs will still pinball from regular cures.

You can get iLevel90 gear in many different ways. And even if you tanked every dungeon and instance up to Tam-tara HM only once each, you will still be new to tanking. It take a lot more time and practice to get used to tanking properly.

And with attitude like this, it is no wonder that people are not getting their practice, but instead getting leveled by by fates and geared by hunts.

I think you misunderstood him. He doesn't like to queue DF with healer because a lot of tanks are constantly trying to speed run.

The topic of this thread is misleading, when someone says new player I picture the person running around with a green leaf on them. This person is not new to the game, don't they have to have gone through the story mode dungeons to be able to unlock hard mode? They would have atleast picked up a little bit along the way to see how tanking works. I don't play as a healer but I see what they are doing.

If I was going to start healing and managed to guy my guy up to iLvl 90 I sure wouldn't start on hard mode dungeons to learn how to play it.

Please leave this nonsense in that other thread. No one is trying to "farm" content like Tam Tara HM, nor are there any exacting mechanics that wipe the party back to the beginning of the entire duty.

People want to farm tam-tara just as well as anything else. The farmers just want to speed run and don't want to deal with the newer people. If you want to farm, form your own farming static and stop abusing the newer players. You are not entitled to having the system find you a fast clear/farm party whenever you want. People are NOT there for you take for granted and expected to show up at your beck and call. People with attitudes like that, will abuse the DF and PF, and run over, and thru the newer players, or complain about them slowing down or wiping the run.

There is nothing misleading. The green leaf could be someone's alt or smurf for all that matters. People need the opportunity for more practice is all. People can be more considerate whether there is a green sprout or not.

Tam-tara HM probably wasn't the tank's first dungeon either, but they will have to try it at some point, and may have already don tam-tara a couple times. But it take time to practice and get used to things and then improve from there.
