What am I wrong about exactly? Unless I'm missing something here, you're showing me the prices for plots from [2.1] have lowered going into [2.38]. The problem I'm referring to is how they would say "...prices will be completely separate from free company housing....", but slap on the abiltiy for individuals to purchase land and houses that used to be exclusive to FCs (and essentially, the same product and same pricing.)

I mentioned that they could possibly meant that "the prices we'll give this houses will be lower than what it is now", which is at best a misunderstanding and at worse misleading the context that the readers are supposed to get.

I must be misunderstanding something by the way you say "pricing".　Are you suggesting there should have been a different model for how to purchase housing? An auction type system, perhaps?　It's just shown that houses, even in the new wards, are far less expensive than FC housing was in 2.1。　It's not even comparable because 8～１０ million gil back in 2.1 would probably be closer to 30+ million gil right now. So Naoki was right when he said it would be more affordable. But as ZReport said, people thought 850k was going to be the baseline and failed to read further into it and got blind sided. Price should have never been a point of contention but space, but Tiggy posted just above you why that shouldn't be a problem either.

Expansion, not the slightest. 2.4 not really, but expected to be the week following the Live Letter in Vegas or week after that. And usually the patches are Tuesdays so 21 or 28.

I'm more concerned with the "prices will be completely separate from FC housing" bit. Though I do agree that they're more "affordable" (which is up to player interpretation) if only because it costs less than what it was in 2.1, that doesn't change the fact that it's still the same as FC housing and its pricing (and again, what I'm pointing out is that they mentioned or tried to suggest otherwise, it's still the same as FC housing down to the mechanics.)

And I'm also aware of the spacing problem as well, but most of my ire is funneled into the fact that the devs can say one thing, and either be either loose about it's meanings (prices will be different from FC housing versus different from FC housing in 2.1) or pull a 180* on the day of.
