XD, my poor whm if i encouter you
nevermind i may think too much of the Pve pld, seem full swing and glory slash is may be a good addition.
I may be hard to do a tierlist if the low tier is overated.
I don't have encounter pld so strong yet.
a tierlist would realy be true if done on Top Player match only anyway, it's certainly too soon for that
Screenshots don't really prove anything when you can switch at the end and it shows all the stats on the job you just changed from. And I'm not saying tanks cant get high numbers but breaking 100k?7 kill shots? I'm calling BS. Even as a blm free casting full rotations with flares and multiple kill target LBs I don't hit 120k often.
Thats just silly. You can infer the situation from his kill to damage ratio. It's most likely from a prolonged flag battle against multiple healers. You're DPS largely has to do with how many (/how long the )encounters you are in.

It has more weight then typing random hypothetical situations you've been in.Screenshots don't really prove anything when you can switch at the end and it shows all the stats on the job you just changed from. Yeah to echo what tehomegaking is saying, those numbers are definitely legit. I've never broke 120k but I've had some pretty high numbers as a paladin (usually average 70-75k or so) and in a fight where you're on the point the entire time you can definitely get numbers to 120k+. It was also a long match 18:49 (probably really close and down to the end) vs a shorter match where you would expect smaller numbers.Screenshots don't really prove anything when you can switch at the end and it shows all the stats on the job you just changed from. If you'd like to know the situation, it was dealing with two waves (or was it three) of 16 at Markets then traveling across mid and over to Storm side to help our sucky A and B teams (Immortal Flames, what do you expect). Although there was no shortage of targets, there was nothing prolonged about any encounter. Add into the equation the travel time from Markets to Storm Outpost. It was NOT, I repeat, NOT a mere one or two battles that dragged on because no one's healers would die.
The skepticism is pretty funny. I'd be happy to provide testimony to the fact I was on PLD the entire time. Bear in mind, also, that a lot of time was spent locking targets for teammates and protecting healers. Last I checked shield bash wasn't very damage-efficient but hey. Must be because I switched from the BLM or SMN I clearly don't have leveled (AMG GIMP). If it makes you feel any better, my static's BLM did beat that damage by a pretty solid amount (though LB2 counting towards that is total horseshit >8( )Screenshots don't really prove anything when you can switch at the end and it shows all the stats on the job you just changed from. Regardless, the screenshot is to help debunk the nonsense I keep seeing that's based entirely on the brain-dead and poorly geared PLD pugs you see, not to claim DPS superiority for PLD.
Fairly accurate average. Now to the rest of you, how many proper DPS hit that in a match? Usually BLMs and SMNs match or exceed that right? All that AoE and stuff... well, PLD doesn't have much AoE. This points to a few things. (1) PLD (and even moreso WAR/MRD) isn't the trash class people make it out to be (thanks pugs), and (2) melee could probably use some love from SquareEnix in the PvP department to help them be what they're supposed to be. Yes I'm fully aware that there are some melee legends out there that might disagree, and if so, stfu, I'm trying to help you! D8<

I'll take a melee buff in pvp even though they dont need it.
Definitely appreciate that line of thought. What if that buff came in the form of a good defensive cooldown? I feel it would allow for at least a piece of the overextending that tanks get the luxury of.
All classes are really good if played properly. Healers are also pretty superior and one reason for that is because they have combat resurrections. If opponent have no healers u need kill them only once but if team have healers u need kill them multiple times.
