It's like some of you guys never played any other FF title other than XI.

Yeah, it becomes obvious otherwise people would see just how much is borrowed for XIV, being a fan service title and all. It's like saying that just because Bahamut was the 'king of dragons/wyrms' or 'powerful dragon' in other FF games in XIV he should be the end boss of Copperbell Mines because he's insignificant and this is FFXIV not FF (insert.)

I dunno why people are complaining about Fenrir. I never played XI, so the only FF incarnation I remember is the esper from FF6, witch wasn't THAT awesome.

That's the problem here - In other FF games, Bahamut for example was either a boss or a Summon (or both in some games), in FFIX, Bahamut Lagoon, FFXI and FFXIV he's obviously something more. Heck, in Type-0 he gets shot out the air and killed.

Garuda's a surprise, but you can't put Typhoon or you compromise the lore for Ultros, witch is comic relief. Garuda in FF3 was quite an icon, and she's very well done in ff14.

Didn't stop them from compromising Odin for this game Garuda isn't that surprising since XI wise for example she had the widest use of offensive Summons next to Fenrir and Diabolos, and her lore was actually pretty awesome - In XIV they gave her the same lore but with a more (vicious) twist.

Besides, they said primal are done after expansion. And it was long esthablised that the 6 elementals primal are Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Levi Ramuh and Shiva. Unless they release a new element, I dont see why we would need another beast.

Every FF game there's shared and sometimes you have "beasts" and "humanoids" for example that share elements. So they don't always have to be beasts in all a Primal appears to be is just aether, which can shape into anything.
