Please add clearance condition to Group Finder

I've spent enough time in this thread to see over and over several people want the option of having parties for clears or for farm. ...

And do this at the expense of newer players. Whether you want to help the newer players is not in debate here, everyone has that option. The issue is whether the system will allow new players to get help. By implementing a "no newbies wanted" check box, you will deny newer players even a sliver of a chance to get help. Right now the PF host at least need to talk to them on the PF before starting the instance and make a judgement call. Why is that so bad that you'd want a "no newbies wanted" check box? Leave well enough alone.

Are you even reading the comments you're agreeing with? The accusation made was exactly whether I or others want to help newer players or not. Go reread it. Somethin about the words "never help newbies" or somethin.

And I'll tell you right now, if you were on my server, you'd have a permanent spot with all the gilsellers on my blacklist.

While someone as new as you, even less geared or newer than you, who puts up their own PF anytime they need help with a clear, instead of, as you put it, try to "sneak in a lucky win", that person could easily end up on my friends list. Just because we need to encourage that kind of new player, not the kind you're spouting.

This is what this OP was about. This whole thread's pointless. You don't want to play with newbs, yet won't put in the work to make a static. Statics usually do work. Sometimes a member goes afk irl and then they need to PF it. The problem is with this, that some random newb joins and it sucks. This is why you make backups, and get to know other players on your server. If you don't know anyone, that is not SE's fault. It is yours. You play on a server with not enough people? Transfer. You have a friend who's decent at the game and needs a win? Try that route. This is a game. You don't even own your character. Japan could explode tomorrow and you lose everything. Have a little maturity and perspective.

I think it's cruel that you are unwilling to teach new players the ropes ever, but would rather have fast clears every week. This is just my two cents, but I guess you're entitled to your apparent selfishness.

I may not always feed every stray I come across. I may not always hand loose change to everyone that waves a cup at me. I may not always watch a relative's pet when they go out of town. But sometimes I do.

I can look out for everyone else in the game, but I have to look out for myself too. Is that selfish? I guess you could say that, but by the same token, anyone that would ask for my help (or even worse, demand it) is also selfish.

This is a completely baseless accusation by someone that clearly hasn't read the majority of the thread.

Many of us have said that we either join or run learning parties regularly.

However, when I have a party up specifically to farm I expect that those that join already know the content.

Why are we even debating this matter still? People who can't kill it theirselves will just buy a kill and put up a PF 1 minute later asking for a "farm group" and "kill xp only". I see it every day, your checkbox or any other ideas won't stop this from happening...

PF leaders can exclude whoever the hell they want. Maybe nobody, maybe people with i109 or below. They can set whatever crazy demands they want. "Farm group, all items locked" or they can be more reasonable. "Greed only please." No matter what, by joining the party, you agree to whatever conditions the leader has set. By sneaking in for a ninja win, you are choosing not to adhere to the leader's requests, and are therefore griefing.

I think its more for an ease of life thing really. To click a check box rather then filling the party description with messages of "experienced players only" "farm party only" etc etc etc. To let players free up the party description text box for things like whats locked, what strategy they want to use, how long the farm party plans to go for etc etc etc.

Absolutely not, it won't stop people from sneaking into parties. Its more for a classification just as we have a check box now that reads "Newcomers Welcome"
