That doesn't mean they don't beg for help. All the NBA teams want Lebron and they all have the funds to do so if they don't mind flushing their current teams down the drain, so they were begging for him since 2 years ago. Many teams had the plans to beg for his services already in play from 2 years ago.

No sane person would think that a person inviting them to a wedding or asking them to be their best man/maid of honor would be an act of begging.

You take you friends and family for granted, that is why you say that. People don't realize when they are imposing on other people. Just like how they want to impose a "clearance condition" to players they never even met.

So if you make a learning party and post it on PF, and you have a couple of veteran players come in there to help, does that mean they are begging to join your party?

If I put a PF, and anyone joins, I am doing the begging and I am happy to have anyone come help. I give them the benefit of the doubt, veterans or not, until they show they can not do it.
