Obviously a troll
Seriously, I joined quite late into the game, and I learning partied -> clear partied -> farm partied shit with myself and friends. People needa stop being lazy and make their own learning party instead of jumping into 'farm parties'.
100% this. Most of the time, I'll take a player that has the intelligence to send me a tell and say, "Hey, I don't have the clear - but I know the fight and would love to join" and 9/10 times? I take them, and they ARE good. It's the ones that try to join in and be sneaky about it that you know are just bad - they have to lie to get in, after all.As for people without clears who are actually capable but could never find parties, that's often me. I simply send the party leader a tell and explain how far I've been/what I know. I'm a good enough player that once I join any doubts they have will be cleared if they're watching my performance.
I would support this idea for two reasons. 1: Players will find their own way of doing this anyway, so it is impossible for SE to stop it (jerks or otherwise) 2: Each and every player has the RIGHT to decide who they want to play with, jerk or not. If they only wish to play with people who have cleared already they have the right to do that. It isn't about nice or mean, its about freedom to choose, which we all have.
i'm against it till the player base starts taking some inititive to teach new players. ive gotten 1st timers to clear levi ex just by teaching them how to dodge the dives.
Plenty of people teach a others and honestly, no one is forced to if they don't want to anyway. Read the post above yours and let that sink in.
Why is the onus on the experienced player to seek out and teach the inexperienced?
The new players need to take some initiative. Watch a video. Go try the mechanics.

Funny story, you already have this freedom. It's called Party Finder. You don't want to join 'da newbs', then build your own party and you'll never need to team with them again.I would support this idea for two reasons. 1: Players will find their own way of doing this anyway, so it is impossible for SE to stop it (jerks or otherwise) 2: Each and every player has the RIGHT to decide who they want to play with, jerk or not. Locking off content like the suggestion just means that new players will literally be unable to play on DF, forcing them to build parties of only-new players. That would be far more difficult than other players trying to find people who HAVE completed it.
This ENTIRE THREAD is about wanting another checkbox for PARTY FINDER.Funny story, you already have this freedom. It's called Party Finder. You don't want to join 'da newbs', then build your own party and you'll never need to team with them again.

I don't know why people keep thinking we're talking about Duty Finder.
