I understand that but a F2P game is getting servers before a p2p game.

F2P and P2P don't matter so much as "how many players?". If Nosgoth has a very significant number/percent of Australian players, it makes sense to give them their own server. Meaning no disrespect, but it doesn't make financial sense to put up an extra server in a totally different country, probably having to deal with all sorts of Customs & Excise red tape in the process, if the players there are few and far between; whereas going by that email there's a -lot- of Aussie players in Nosgoth.

But.. It's Free to play.. They make no money unless players buy cash shop items.. In which case.. >.> Add some Cash shop to FFXIV, nothing amazing mind you, just the little things like cosmetics.. Shouldn't the money be going to SE for better server support?

Believe it or not Cash Shop games can be more lucrative for a business than subscription based games unless the latter is past a certain threshold.
But that's another topic.
If you want aussie servers, get more aussies playing.

Well there are probbaly 3-4 gaming conventions that come around, PAX, EB Expo to name a few, but I bet it would increase players if SE made a FATE event here in Brisbane >.>

Sorry. In my honest opinion, having a FATE will not increase number of players. Only Fans would attend.

I don't mind being in a JP server, its the server relays that I want. to decrease latency. I still think others would come.

They should make an "AU" Server in the JP Data centers. Proxies and VPNs like "WTFast" often hurt other players and the server who aren't using them more.

You wouldn´t believe how much F2P Games earn by In-Game Buys... (thats why they usually refered as Pay2Win)

Before Australia, i would bet the greater demanding player base resides in Europe... just sayin
