'sup! Nice to know about the Rockbreaker. I never really have the chance to test it, because -u know- single bard. I did once, and runned out of TP and was OoT for a long, long time, lol. I'm actually aiming for the 500-DPS-mark, that's why I'm asking about "little" things like Howling Fist. (And also I'm not really the theorycrafter type. ) Though we always have Paeon up whenever I / the bard / the drg needs it. There's no much room for Foe (only at beginning of the fight) or Ballad.

500 is going to be hard to hit unless you got a second monk to do DK for you. Highest I've gotten on T8 was around 480 (single monk). I also try to make sure I don't let DK drop Avatar while the Dread is up so I'll swap back to refresh that on him and then back to the Dread if that situation comes up too. That way I don't get out of my groove when the Dread dies.

My highest was 481 with 2 pots/bufffood/single monk/single bard/115 weap/wrong equipped ramuh ring (have 1x ilvl100 piece though and with Nexus soon, it should boost a bit more soon.). I was rather lucky that I didn't miss without the HA ring. xD And with a second monk it wouldnt be a challenge anymore. :c

Ok. Normally I keep BS the dread instead of DK the boss. I actually just want to attempt the 500-DPS (since I don't have infinite pots and I'm way too lazy to craft them again) as soon I have Nexus/my last BiS piece. Sadly two pieces won't make 19 DPS more, so... I asked for rather trivial things like the Rockbreaker/howling fist. Is it better to use Pots as soon as dread is up (buffed dots on the boss and then going for dread [with buffed Howling]) or should I put in on my opener?

Sadly, I too ran out of STR pots and am too lazy to make more so I can't really comment too much on optimal placement of them. I'd definitely delay the opener one at least enough that you get a buffed Demo and Howling Fist off on the Dread. After that I don't really remember if the second Dread will typically spawn before or after your pot CD is up. If it's ready do the same thing on the second Dread. As for keeping DK on the Avatar while the Dread is up, I usually just make sure I get a DK back up on it by the last full combo rotation I can do on the Dread. I typically try to keep my usual combo flow in tact so I don't randomly get thrown off by a misstep.

My run that was in the 480 range happened with good crits. Normally I run 465-470, and any run higher than that I'm getting lucky on crits. However, I still have i110 weapon, and I've had terrible luck with Coil drops so I'm still missing a few BiS pieces.
