Seriously. It's *obvious* that people are going to do the dungeons with their linkshell mates first.

Do the new, supposedly challenging content with people I know and trust? Or do it with random strangers?

Real hard choice there.

me and my linkshell are having a BLAST.. parties actually have to look at their setup.. tanks have to do their jobs.. healers have to do their jobs.. its freaking AWESOME.. loving the changes.. keep em coming!

Funny cause I have been on selbina since the server was released in the beta, and while we do have a healthy population of jps, we're also the official francophone server so at all times of day I see shouts in JP, english, and French. And JPs do not overpopulate NA on the server at all. So its a misnomer to say Selbina is full of JPs and thats why some of his problems occurred. On selbina the only way to get a party is to usually start one and then shout in uldah. So talk about your own server just sayin. I've been on Selbina since the beta and have never had a problem with finding english players, the problem is the community, there is little incentive to go outside your ls at this point, it is true.

Nobody does anything outside their LS, or invites anybody outside their LS, and nobody has any openly recruiting linkshells, so anybody in a small LS or completely without one is screwed out of content and the ability to continue through the Grand Companies line of quests.

I hear ya. I particularly like how linkshells have become exclusive as well, requiring that you permanently leave every other linkhshell that you're a member of. My server is just as bad--just a few LSs that dominate, and everyone else is left with LSs that consist of irregular players or people hopping from inactive LS to inactive LS until they finally leave the game. I've met one or two of the big LSs that will let me join them from time to time if there's an opening, but I mostly play solo or occasionally get enough people in my LS to do stuff (maybe once very month or two). Often, I form my parties by meeting people in Behest.

I'd hate to see you go, but definitely see your point. Personally, I'm fine playing solo. No, I won't get to do much endgame content, but there's so many jobs to level and there will eventually be so much stuff to do that I'm sure it will keep me around for years.

You expect people to bother with pick-up groups right off the bat? LSs have been planning for this night for months.

Because they want everyone who has taken a break from the game to never come back and would rather tell potential players to "go play wow" than show them why it is that they white knight this game so hard.

If you have tried the new dungeon, you know you wouldnt be doing it with pickups as well unless there was no choice.
