Because this game isn't called "Final F*cking Reality!" The rules of real life shouldn't apply here.Because it isn't possible to have a plot for every single person that wants one, what is so hard to understand about that? it's like a residence in real life that only has 10 houses, but 200 people want to live there. It's just not going to happen. you come first you get it 1st.
All this whining is certainly becoming more annoying then it should be.
No, it's not possible to have a plot for every single person *that's implemented in a permanent always-running region like the FC housing wards.* That's why it's a stupid place to try to put individual housing. An individual house is something that should only exist when the player is there. Whenever they're logged out or in another area of the game it should close the instance and release that server space for other people. With that implementation, it's perfectly possible to give every single player their own house plot, because only a small percent of them would be active at any given time. (At most, it might require doing a bit of the server upgrades that they already need anyway.)Because it isn't possible to have a plot for every single person that wants one, what is so hard to understand about that? it's like a residence in real life that only has 10 houses, but 200 people want to live there. it's called common sense and limited resources, in real life there are limits, even in a video game limits apply. i guess you're not the only person who has trouble understanding that. or there are blind people, whichever.
I also guess some people fully understand how servers work to know that can be easily done.
But these limits are ones that SE choose to create by implementing a server-intensive design. If they don't have the servers for this type of implementation, then they shouldn't have used this type of implementation. There are plenty of other ways they could have implemented personal housing that would have made it available to everyone.
Then explain how, show me some options and ways how housing could have been implemented for everyone, that seems to be no problem to do based on you and every other person ignorant to how this works knows thus far, All i am seeing is complaining just to complain, "oh.. well i have no idea how this works but....do it anyway! just do it!"But these limits are ones that SE choose to create by implementing a server-intensive design. Hell lets take the most populated server and show me in full detail how every single person that can afford housing will be able to get it. i'll be waiting.
The same way everyone can access an inn room, a personal fc room, or a moghouse in ffxi: An Instance. It's not rocket surgery.
Funny thing is, in a way, housing is already instanced. The moment you click that front door, you're entering an instance. If no one else was inside already, it had to start up just for you. (Which, they've said, is why it's difficult to place you back inside after leaving a duty.) It's really only the outside ward itself that's running all the time.
Exactly. Make the outside of the house be part of the instance and let's enter via the placard. Solved.Funny thing is, in a way, housing is already instanced.
