@every person who has (HILARIOUSLY) told everone to 'go play the sims 4 huek derp' -just go away lol. I raid, I have turn 9 on farm now with my fc group, I'm still entitled to want the casual content in the game to not suck.

In the future, we plan to be able to double the total land for all existing housing wards, including the two new wards, in Patch 2.4 with the system changes that we are currently working on.
(Basically, the number of wards available now will be doubled in Patch 2.4).
I'm running by that statement, which may or may not be incorrectly translated.

Yeah the bold italics in parentheses is an incorrect paraphrasing of the correct translation above it.
OP, we pay them for their services. When the services don't live up to expectations, we have a right and a duty to let them know otherwise.
So..Can I complain then? First wave of alpha 1 for version 1. I was there for the whole 30 seconds I could log on that night (server issues like you wouldn't believe and only a 4 hour play window anyway).
I think the implementation of personal housing is an absolute joke, but I'm not getting worked up about it because I have other stuff to focus on at the moment.
I just don't understand what they were thinking... They were never gonna have the server resources to get everyone that wanted a house for significantly less than FC housing. FC housing itself was only implemented because they realised they didn't have the resources for individual housing. Heck, they didn't even have the resources for every FC to have a house, hence the ridiculous price tag for those.
Knowing this, why wouldn't they manage expectations? Even at ridiculous price tags, I fully expect all the available housing to be gone by the time I arrive home from work today so even if I were absolutely loaded housing won't be available for me.
Now, if you can't get 4 mill before 2.4 you won't have a personal house this year. Housing is something that shouldn't be limited by server resources. By achievements/questing? Sure. By gil? Alright, that's arguable, sure. But to say to a new player "Sorry, all the houses are taken already. Can't tell you if/when any more will be available. It doesn't matter that you pay as much as the others, you weren't online for the 10 mins (I've had that confirmed by friends who are online) that the houses were available on Balmung.
There are 10k characters on each full server. You think there will be server resource for 10k personal houses anytime in the next few years?
Like I said, I'm not overly attached to this. I have a personal room. I will miss out on gardening and the general good feeling of having my own house, but I'm not gonna rage over it. This doesn't make this whole episode anything less than an embarassing farce that could have been mitigated if not avoided.

Lol the white knight in here is strong, I like it. They messed up and deserve to know it. This isn't F2P, we pay them to release content the general population can enjoy. And from what I see the general population is pretty disappointed. ./thread
Am I forgiven....

I'm even more surprised they managed to break something as basic as analog movement, they have 3 platforms that use gamepad controls and they couldn't identify an issue with it on any of them. It's like they have no QA or proper testing at all, so much for those arduous tests they claim to perform for every patch.
Ask yourself this question:
Can you play FFXIV ARR right now?
If the answer is no: You are correct.
If the answer is yes: you are incorrect.
P2P money does go towards a lot including other game projects by the studio (XI funded..most of SE's projects for example) so feedback is fine, but do remember your subscription first and foremost goes towards having the right to access the game.

It always interesting to see how a large group of people react to games like this. One group defends things protest they are not white knighting and is defending the developers and the game on past content and the intentions to improve making them look like optimistic fools. While the other attacks and claim they aren't tools because they have a legitimate point which they do but they still act like bell ends so one would have to wonder why the dev bothering telling the player base anything in the event it is not exactly how they planned it or phrased it before any implementation was actually done.
But I must say I am still happy to see so many people up in arms on both sides shows that alot of people care even though alot of it is misguided and filled with outside angst.

I bought a house this morning I am on a lagacy server and I got up at 6:00 am to make sure I was able to purchase early. I was taken aback by the pricing as well, but I had done nothing the past month but save in anticipation of this patch. I am by no means rich but have wanted this housing since realease. I am happy for myself that I was able to achieve this but at the same time I am sad for all these posts. Also, I beleive the worst mistake Square Enix made was throwing out that number (850K) they should have been honest from the beginning and not given thousands of players false hope for this patch.^ This right here. Yoshi should've never said that housing was going to be affordable and starting around 850k. That just an out right lie, seeing as for legacy just a small plot is 4mil. Hate to say it but you white knights may wanna just run and hide for a day or so because there a lot of pissed off players. Even the JP players are raging right now.
