I believe that's what they are doing for 2.4. His latest post confirmed that there will be twice as many wards as there are now, so I assume (I don't have much knowledge on this subject) that they are debugging/fleshing out the server for housing and it will ready for 2.4.

I also believe my signature has a place for this topic. I am neutral on the topic of the housing, so I will not comment save that disappointment was justified, but not necessarily the harsh attacks.

Well all I can do now is hope this is the case.

Agreeing with OP here. Remember the rage-stroke at launch over connection issues? Same thing. People crying and moaning calling for Yoshi-Ps head on a platter because demand FAR exceeded expectations due to a prior poor launch. Who said "this is all youre getting?" If you really care to devote all your time to housing it can be accomplished on The Sims.
Personally, housing isnt a big thing for me. My FC quarters consist of a bed; a repair servant, small table, and Im rarely ever in there as it is due to crafting, gathering or dungeons. I get it is important for others, but Jesus Christ people tone it done. Give feedback if youre upset, but be respectful and theyll make fixes as they did with server overloads, with Choco battling, with PvP, and everything else thats come along. Changes are made due to feedback; always have been, always will. But this rage crap just makes you look like a bunch of kids you would find on a Call of Duty of WoW. Dont give yourselves an aneurysm over it

My only complaint is this. We have waited. And Waited. And WAITED. With very little if absolutely NOTHING concrete from SE about "Personal housing". I was optimistic yes. I was hopeful yes. But since SE never said squat about the price or answered any of the direct questions posed, speculation was really all we had to go off of.

So here we are. Excited to log in and ... bam. All we basically got was a used car at a new car price. They could have just TOLD US we were getting the left overs from FC housing.

They KNEW how many people were amped up and excited for personal housing. So the excuse of not being ready and needing server issues resolved, while I get them, I work in IT/IS, doesn't fly. You blind sided us SE. Not cool. Not cool at all. the ONE THING I was looking forward to; gone. 1) Too expensive 2) Not personal Sure, some people have that kind of gil and I used to have close to 2 mil but, I spent it. So fucking sue me. I also didn't think at the time, when I HAD THAT MONEY, I could have faked my way to owning an FC with some Alts and bought a freaking FC house that no one wanted and been getting the same GD thing I was offered TODAY at FOUR MIL!

So while I haven't been on these forums for over year, they have become quite the cesspool, I do think my comment should be recognized with everyone else's whose complaining or bitching or w/e.

As for those who are being labeled White Knights? Been there. Today though, I have no like for SE and what they have done. So I'll be joining the rest of the complainers because, in all honesty, we did get shafted.

I know that we are always excited about what's coming every patch and that this one kinda let lots of ppl down but bashing Yoshi and the team and even asking for Yoshi's resignation? what is wrong with everyone?

You know what, if this was the first time they took something players have looked forward to that was supposed to be fun and turned it into an frustrating over the top exercise in mind numbing patience, maybe youd have a point. However theyve been doing this garbage since the very beginning, and its getting old. Even his "omotenashi" apologies are getting old and frankly starting to sound condescending ("yeah, sorry,we know you didnt want this but we're doing it anyway, shut up now, gomenasai!"). That sound familiar to you? It should. Because this is the same "dedication" the tools who made 1.0 did in the face of controversy.

And that would be fine and dandy if we weren't left in the dark for MONTHS and given NO INFO to only be given the freaking left overs.

I haven't read ALL the posts. I commented on this one because it seemed the least crazy but, people have a legit reason to complain. They could have just simply given us some weak ass "patch" and just told us, "Okay. FC left overs are now up for anyone to buy." and people would probably been happier than they are now. Instead what we got was drama filled crap and no info, which led to speculation, which has led us to this moment. ESPECIALLY since the "housing" was so fail. I mean, it may not mean much to you but, if you looked at it from the perspective of those "complaining", you hopefully would see why this was not a good idea. It makes the Devs look like they were lazy. Everything was already here! All they did was "unlock" how to purchase the house. LOL

Usually, I side with Yoshi and the Devs but this? No. No. I can't support this.

I haven't been whining, this is my 1st post on the subject, but we were clearly mislead about personal housing. The price is so high that I can't even consider personal housing as an achievable goal. I still have materia to SB or pay to acquire. The Dev's statements in the past, regarding personal housing were definitive and clear. There was no room for misunderstanding, but today they say there was a misunderstanding. Obviously they don't have the system resources to allow us all our house for 850k gil, so they can't change the situation, but I wish they would just be honest about the datacenters shortcoming's and not try to address us with a litigious redaction.

just to clarify, they're not doubling the amount of wards, just doubling the amount of land in each ward.
