You can't get the items back anyways if you placed them in the house, they are tied to that house now.
I'm sorry things ended for you that way though, best of luck!

Nah, once you set something down, if it can be retrieved, you can still take it back. Unless you mean you're unable to set them in another house, even if you're holding it in your inventory,in which case I can't confirm ityou can still place them in another house. I've done it.

Right - the items can be removed - but only by a member of the free company - if he's not in the free company any more, he can't remove them. Items placed in the common areas of free company housing are considered to belong to the free company.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure the point he was trying to make is that anything that can be retrieved is mostly garbage furnishings nobody would/should really care about. All of the expensive stuff is generally bound to the house.

Sorry to say, most likely a GM will tell you that 'To avoid this in the future...' speech instead of returning the items. Players were warned to be wary of which FCs they joined and what they allowed other FC members access to. It'll most likely be treated the same way as those people who joined FCs shortly after Housing came out, helped donate to the purchase of a house, and then got kicked once the house was purchased. I'm sorry this happened to you. It's why I started a small FC with friends I knew, after leaving a bigger FC run by people I didn't know.

Only coil and primal furniture cannot be removed. There is a lot of expensive/furniture that can be removed. Instruments, carbuncle , etc
Generally if it's something that's been placed inside a FC house, I'd consider it a donation the whole FC as a group, and you lose any rights to it. No take backsies!
I meant exactly what I said once you place something in an FC house its bound to that house only, you cant put it in another house, thus why you can't sell used furniture. You can take it out yea, you can put it in a FC room yea, but you cant take it out and put it in a different house. So sorry to say it but if you placed anything in that dudes FC house, its stuck there. You can technically "get it back" if you rejoined and took it but you can't do anything with it other then vendor trash it & what not.
So again that sucks and I'm sorry. Take care.

you shouldn't put anything to the house unless you really like the leader. you said you never liked the guy from the beginning, why did you give him so many furnishings?
btw he's a real jerk and with his attitude like that I don't think his FC will last so long.
This really bit me in the ass honestly. When I first joined, the guy that got me to join was basically a best friend to the leader, and I told him day one "I'm trusting YOU personally, that you can guarantee that my stuff will be safe to place in the house." He told me they were the only two that could mess with it, so with the guy I knew being the second in command, I let my guard down. Figures that in the end I got boned and my stuff is basically stolen from me, he tried to fix it, but the "Master" would just kick me or remove it for himself if he wanted to likely. The guy said he didn't care, but when he closed the house to only FC members and went through all the telling arguing with me to say that he "Didn't care at all," he's certainly went past the point of not caring by then.
I told him honestly before he blacklisted me that someone acting like he is should not be running a FC, regardless of what happens between two users, if you can't swallow your immaturity and let someone take what is rightfully theirs back before you kick them, then you should not be running a FC at all. That's the kind of spiteful thing a teenage girl would do, they'd steal someone else's stuff and refuse to give it back until the authorities got involved. Any guy that considers himself a man should realize how low it is to snatch away someone's rightful property and hold it to themselves. Hate someone all you want, but draw the line at that kind of detestable behavior somewhere, this can easily happen to anyone in any FC and we need to get something adjusted here.
