If you are doing that good and pushing phases faster, I have faith that you can relearn rather quickly. Im assuming you are talking t7 in which case you really only need to wait for a smigde. Either way, its not difficult.

It's not just turn 7. Turn 6 you can't push Rafflesia until she eats the honey again. In Ramuh you can't push phases until he thundershocks again. In Ifrit, you can't push last phase until all the nails are dead (though this mechanic is obvious -- the consequence shouldn't be a raid wipe.)

if they could learn to adapt, they would have and not complained in the first place, they are probably just following someone else's tactics mindlessly
Except that even the "adaption" can be done fairly mindlessly. Oh, what's that? The boss is a few HP% above his transition line? Has he done X yet? Then go ahead and push. It's still reducible to a flow chart. . .
