Requirement for Coil Not needed for Expansion But...

i dont have a static, and ive never cleared before. ive had full party of randoms every time i try it, and ive gotten to phase 3 consistently as healer.

i am also in a small fc, with 6-7 active endgame players, thats also our total active playebase.

and if you are wanting a nerf to T5 after 3 tries, you will be crying when you get to titan ex. i cleared it, thank god, but after a couple months of 1 or 2 nightly attempts

So you are having trouble remembering mechanics in T5 and want it to be nerfed more so you can do t6-9? You do realize that t6-9 also has lots of mechanics that you'll need to remember? If you get carried through T5 you'll just be going from one road block to another. You'll be back on the forums asking for T6 to be nerfed.

My suggestion is to simply get better. Watch videos until you memorize everything then put together groups until you get a good one.

But they DID just release an easy-mode Coil for you, specifically.

- Go to www.youtube.com
- Type into the search bar: "FFXIV Turn 5 kill BLM perspective w/cutscenes"
- Get an old mouse/keyboard or controller and make sure that they are disconnected from your computer or playstation
- Hit "Play" and "Full-screen"
- Go ahead and press the buttons as you normally would, the game will correct your errors for you.

Will it be needed for a future expansion? If so, will you be toning down Turn 5 for that specific expansion? If not, what will you do when hundreds of people don't buy the expansion that requires it due to them not being able to complete Turn 5? :V

Just want to make sure about this before I continue subscribing to FFXIV past the first expansion. I cannot and will not do Turn 5 if it stays as hard as it is now.

Turn 5 in its prime was way harder than it was after they nerfed it and way way harder than it is right now with echo buff. Not even in the same league. If you don't like difficulty don't do coil, if you like difficulty but consider it's too hard then you have to train harder.

I'm sorry if I'm incapable of finding a static that will take a newbie for a one-time run so I never do it again. I just don't like people who stonewall others by forcing them to watch a video or read a text guide. I'm also not keen on big FCs / Guild, especially with the voice chat requirement and website sign-up requirement, usually. Some FCs also advertise they aren't hardcore, when they actually are as well, which upsets me.



On Ragnarok, people ask if you're new to Coil, and if you've seen videos / etc. They will immediately kick no matter what if you haven't. I've watched a video twice, and read a text guide, but I've forgotten about half of the fight within just a few hours. I'm not going to bother to try and queue or find a static / etc. (I've even set my search information to say I won't do turn 5 or beyond ever.)

You gave up after 3 fails? 3? Do you think t6-9 will be sunshine and rainbows after that? I sympathize with you in that it can be difficult to find players without a good FC (not alays easy to find) or a static to beat T5 and forward. However you gave up after 3 tries, you have no complaint at all. Not everything can be on super easy mode.

We've also either banged our heads against a wall to figure out a fight, and if someone else did it before us, we've read their tips on how to do it. We've gathered in guilds to organize and tackle challenging content, and when it kicked us in the face we came back for more.

I have opinions on SE's design choices (throwing ground poo at a group until someone's network lags and wipes everyone is terrible design), but this idea that mmos should be built as if it's entirely single player content is a little... well, selfish. It sounds to me like you really just don't want to play an mmo.
