How are you handling your Novus upgrade?

So I have all my Alex done and waiting but I (like lots of others) am too poor to buy the crit/det IV, even after some hard core SB and other ways to make gil. So I think I am going to go to the 3rd stat.

However I do not understand why Pie seems to be the "3rd" go to stat, or acc which I do not have a problem with. Why are pie/acc picked over mind? Can anyone explain?

MND is a main stat, you can't change it. If you are SCH, Pie is almost worthless due to your almost unending MP supply. Really only WHM need to worry about Pie since they are the only job in the game with MP issues.

No healer should put in any ACC unless you're making a for-fun, DPS/Healer hybrid build.

That is what I am thinking, since we cant add MND what is the best "3rd" stat for SCH?

Cap out Crit and Det. Or you can add spell speed, since those 2 stats will get pricey.

That's not necessarily true. I'm actually working on a Crit/Acc/Det Novus atm just to ensure I have enough ACC to have viable dps in Coil 3. Granted it's only a side-grade weapon, ACC for SCH isn't a bad route.
