Can we also add a penalty to people that suck so bad that make others ragequit? Say, 2 days without being able to use the DF?It's never going to stop people from being spoiled whiny pouting brats, no. But being lenient does not seem to be working very well either; If you didn't want to be there, then you shouldn't of queued in DF.
They should probably also add a penalty to the reason for being kicked as well. Like a vote kick for ragequitting so that a hungry horde of goobbue just completely devour their character including all of their gear right after they exit the duty.
How's that sound?
OP this shouldn't be a problem if you are having this many issues with rage quitters, I'm going to be blunt, the problem is most likely you. I come across maybe 1-2 rage quitters a month at max. I have gone months without ever having one. Most people I know don't get them. When we do we laugh at them more often then get mad at them. However something you are doing wrong is clearly rubbing people the wrong way, and judging by your op it's not hard to tell that you probably are, stop blaming everyone else and look inside yourself. Better yourself and you will have less rage quitters.
<-- Clearly. I must be rubbing alot of people the wrong way.

I'd honestly be for this; For instance, why is it that so many DF parties still fail Titan HM?
I'm being led to the idea that the only real way to prevent either is just to run things with a competent static and forget DF queue altogether. Saves from the hassle of having to be inconvenienced by noobs who don't want to learn any better and noobs who think they're going to one shot a DF attempt on a certain fight and ragequit if it doesn't happen that way.
It's a part of the game.. I find that unless it is the slow period of the day for my server, DF usually finds replacements pretty quickly. Half the time someone just ups and quits, THEY were the problem. We get a replacement and happily finish...
So you want a bigger penalty to force someone to stay in maybe a bad group? no not going to happen in what world would that even be fair, yes there is people that just up and leave for no reason but why sit there and punish people that have sat through numerous wipes and still not getting any further just because your group isn't smart enough or doing enough damage.... I say they need to remove the debuff for leaving if you have wiped so many times or have been in the instance for a certain period of time because i still get mad when i have to leave a group and end up getting a 30 min cooldown because the group couldn't grasp the concept of the fight. I say if they are going to change it then do that if not leave it alone.....
In a nutshell, the more punishments you make, the more people will dance around to avoid it.
Maybe people on your data center are trained to troll you, but I rarely have problems with rage quitting on my side.
This has nothing to do with fairness; it's not fair for either the person that has to deal with an incompetent party or the people who wait to queue have to be inconvenienced by a person who quits the run because they didn't one shot the entire thing.
And no one is forcing anyone to do something they don't want to; When you voluntarily queue for a DF party no one forces you to queue. I've only merely stated that a 30 minute punishment is way too lenient. I could care less if someone doesn't want to stay in a party to finish the run for w/e reason, but I think there should be more blood drawn when someone casually walks off without trying until the run opens up to an abandon.
But there is nothing to fret about; the devs are heavily focused on tricky gimmicks, lax penalties, and environmental fluff to keep their XIV playerbase steady. There's no way they would ever consider increasing a penalty to deter said behavior.
I am quite certain that there are quite a few players on Primal Data Center have their Baccalaureate in trolling. Or failing hard. Whichever comes first I guess.

Sorry for not staying because a party member died on the first plumes on titian ex.
Sorry for not staying because the other three members of the party are equipped in crafting gear.
Sorry for not staying because I don't tolerate verbal abuse.
People rage quit for a reason, if you're going to be a bad player over and over why shouldn't you get punished?
Please hurt yourself physically. The only ship jumping this would cause is people jumping ship on this game.Xonsider cutting a % of said offender's current gil total that they're carrying. Or even deducting it from their EXP total so that they Delevel from 50, which would prevent them from re-queuing the exact same fight so when they're leveling up trying to get back to LV 50 they have a small time to think a second time before they actually jump ship.
