Chocobo Dye Experimentation

Alright, RNGesus is the ultimate troll. From the path we took before, Regal Purple + Pears went to Grape Purple. Because we're just trying crazy shit at this point in time, I decided to use the COLOR SIMULATOR. Three pears (one proc), one berry (one proc), six apples (three procs). Using the same formula but only 2 apples, someone got soot black, so maybe I'll overshoot it into wine red. Or maybe six apples was too much and I overshot it. Or maybe I'm off in no-mans-land somewhere. We'll see.

Well, I got trolled! Rust Red! argh! freaking Rust Red!

It looks nice also, but I can't take my choco out of the stables for pictures due to certain circumstances that I'll get into at another time .

At least I think I can fix this with some Berries. We shall see. Edit: Got a message off of ONE BERRIES and got a nice SS of Rust Red while I was feeding.

Ok. Serious Time.

Since I think I am fairly close to Wine Red now, I'm going to go ahead and let this out.

After I land on Wine Red, I am most likely going to be finished with Chocobo Dyeing for now. Not because I want to, but because I am forced to due to certain circumstances.

The FC I have been in since I returned to the game is, for almost all intents and purposes, dead. It's a smaller one. 1/4 of the people already quit the game. 1/2 of the remaining people only logged in once a week for their Coil Static (the FCleader included). It was to the point where they couldn't even log in on time for that, if they showed up at all.

So the remaining members, which were mostly already my friends from previous games, decided to leave the FC and start our own.

Since it is a new FC, that means no house, no garden, and no chocobo stables. Hence no more chocobo dyeing for me. I plan to buy a personal house, so hopefully I'll be able to pick this back up at that time.

As for my research, I will have it all recorded in my First Post. I will try to organize it a bit better and maybe include some screenshots. A link to my posts on my theory of getting Soot Black will be linked there also.

This isn't goodbye. I'll still loiter around and try to help others and answer questions.

Possible answer to that. This Guy fed a mix of fruits at first and landed on Opo-opo Brown. After that he fed only Valfruit and hit Chocolate Brown. Granted he used more than 1 new feathers message worth of Valfruit, but it's something to try. I don't think anyone's been on Opo Brown yet to confirm this.

At least you're getting close, theoretically! Mini is back to Rolanberry, LOL. Pears out of it this time, hopefully not headed back for the regal pit. Sorry to hear about your FC, I hope everyone's back on their feet ASAP.

I've been working on mapping out the dyes in a color wheel fashion.

Just wondering, I am noticing there are two type of color wheel,

RGB (P) + YCM (S) color wheel layout, and then there is the Adobe Kuler with the RGB at the bottom 1/2, and YCM at the top 1/2 of the wheel, which one layout are you following? And why?

I wonder if these different layouts has anything to do with the colors we get.

We tried that and it gave him moss green >_<

I'm posting this and I can confirm to get snow white chocobo. First feeding 4 plums until first proc, then wait. Got sylph green. Fed 6 plums until proc and got celeste green. Next fed 1 pineapple then it proc and then Snow White. Chocobo rank 10 and stable conditions good. Started from desert yellow.

I'm giving the hells up; my chicken's slid back into the Apple Green/Celeste loop and I'm not going to fight him anymore.

Did a grape purple loop and berried out of it into Midnight Blue as per my previous strategy (to escape regal). Theoretically, I can apple from here to kobold and apple from there to wine, but I've gone in so many loops that I'm not confident established feed histories will do me much good. Probably on my way back to Regal, with my luck, lol.
