I successfully got back to Rolanberry Red using the established apples > berries route. I fed pears once there and I expect to hit Russet Brown in about 1 1/2 hrs. From Russet Brown I will fed Berries, perhaps landing on Grape Purple, making that a step shorter if I do.

Hmmm, in that case, I'll watch your progress closely but experiment with a less conventional attempted route to Wine. Berries from Blood to Dalamud, but then pears out of Dalamud. If there's not some Square Enix number voodoo like with the apple path, I'm thinking that'll lead to a stable Rust Red-ish area, and, if so, I might be able to berry out of that back into Wine territory ... again, assuming no number voodoo. Preparing myself for soulcrushing disappointment this time, however - even cautious optimism got me kicked in the rolanberries with how small of a window grape turned out to be.
