So deciding if I want to make the trip from Colibri Pink to Soot Black. But if I do I wonder if it would be better to reset it before doing so.

Going to join the fray here and post each step of my progress from Desert Yellow to Grape Purple (one new feathers message from one fruit type at a time). Hopefully I can help corroborate the findings so far, and if something goes horribly awry, hopefully you'll at least be able to help meh fix it!

Notes: This stage is a little strange if one assumes that the raw RGB values are of worth, here. From Pumpkin to Sunset, the green decreases as expected, but the red decreases and the blue increases? From an apple? SE's values must be a little different if this is true. Also, another 12 apples down. Doubt I'll make it from sunset (assuming I get sunset) to blood in just 9 from my first planting. <sad meh>

On my hunt for Ochu amd Hunter green I came across some single feather procs I have not seen listed or atleast not these paths.

So this brings me up to now. I found this chart too:

and so I decided to try going by it. I gave 1 O'Ghomoro Berries last night, and today my chocobo is Royal Blue. Very pretty!



As you can see, neither chart shows getting Royal Blue next, but that is where I am at.
I have kept the stable in good condition the entire time, I don't know if this has any effect on the changes or not.

I just fed my chocobo 3 Xelphatol Apples and got the growing feathers message after the 3rd one. I will post again at the next color change.

So I just checked my chocobo and it is back to Regal Purple again. I seem to be stuck in the same loop as Kingmanath. Feeding the apples didn't work for me either. I am wondering if I would be better off just changing my chocobo back to it's original yellow and starting over again. Any suggestions?

Storm Blue + Mamook Pear = Morbol Green

After that I did:

Morbol Green + Pineapple = Nophica Green

I wanted to try and be spontaneous so I did:

Nophica Green + Apple = Charcoal Grey!

After feeding a Berry to the Chocobo He is now at Shadow Blue. Fed more berries to see where I go next!

So, being unsure as to what to do from here, I decided to feed Berries. Since I had previously gotten to Gloom Purple then Royal Blue with berries, I decided to feed 1 more berries after getting the growing feathers message and see if that gets me back to Royal Blue. If so, I am going to try feeding 2 apples and see if it gets me to Rolanberry Red.

I'm stuck In a loop of Regal Purple and Dalamud Red.

Apples did not work getting me from Regal to Rolanbarry.
I'm back on Regal now, trying with Pineapples, which I had initially thought to do, but changed my mind to Apples.

The PNG file is nice to have, but it still needs to tidy up a bit more. It has Regal Purple at two locations, with two different paths and each containing only half of the information.

Blue path -> Regal Purple -> can feed berry only -> Othard Blue
Red Path -> Regal Purple -> can feed apple only -> Dalamund Red

Been working on this for over 3days now... it isnt very pretty but...

i followed the route to soot black, right now im going rolanberry red but im confused in the step to go from midnight blue to kebold brown i have to use multiple fruits or one type of any of the fruits mentioned in the chart?
