That melody is so beautiful and so haunting. I can only imagine how the 1.0 guys felt when all that stuff was happening. That song is a really nice song to listen to.

It was actually quite haunting really. What with the lightning bolts, sounds of small meteor fragments crashing off Dalamud, the red moon hovering above us. Atomos terrorizing camps with demon spawns. Imperials invading the cities, giant monsters rampaging at the gates... it was awesome.

Yup, I remember when I logged into 1.0 for the first time after the final save maintenance and first heard Dalamud Answers playing over all BGM, I thought "Oh goddess, that's it. Eorzea is gone." It was so spooky, also due to the fact that with all that cloud cover there was basically no longer any weather other than 'Dalamud storms', and even night and day disappeared - it was just a gloomy, oppressive twilight with that red ball of death hovering overhead like the Sword of Damocles:
It's something I'll never forget.![]()
I wish I could have been apart of that. Everytime I hear about it I wish I could have been apart of 1.0. I wanted to try it out but there was no console release and my Pc was crap. I wonder if I would have liked it. I love hearing the stories on the forums though. The 1.0 players always have a story to tell.It was actually quite haunting really. Answers has started to play starting Yesterday morning.. Becuase as of Yesterday.. The Rising has started... whihcv marks the 1 year Anniversary of FFXIV ARR... so enjoy the music as it will disappear from us again after the 8th..![]()

Don't know if this counts, but listen. Recorded this back during the final days of 1.0.Nine times out of ten, crossing the Moonlight Faire Chaperones has let me hear normal, upbeat event music. Then, this tenth time, I hear a quiet choir singing a song that reminds me of The Binding Coil of Bahamut.
Intrigued, I sit down before the alter of bomb floats. Turns out it's "Answers", the song played behind our dear intro movie. Yet it's calm, quiet, without the obtrusion of sound effects or the need to feel intense. This version so very well fits the idea of a calm, reflective background song that's just... so damn wonderful.
I can't be the only person who would pay to have a loopable version of this quiet, well made choir version of Answers. Is it going to be a thing? Please?

moonfire fairy ? dont you mean Rising ? the Answer song only begin to play when Rising start

I remember the first day I noticed the red moon was slightly bigger than normal. At that point we didn't even know they where planning to do it.
At 1.20 we started to notice something was wrong.
At 1.21 we nearly shat ourselves.
