While yes, I believe atma is RNG based, I do think there is a "trick" to the whole thing. Based on my own experience, it seems like you get an enhanced drop rate under the right conditions, probably due to a sequence of atma you currently have in your inventory when the game determines whether you get the atma or not. Why do I say this? Because my atma drop-rate INCREASED as I collected all my atma. After my 3rd atma, I adopted this strategy and it worked amazingly well.

1 - Make a list of all remaining zones
2 - Go to your next zone and do no more than 6-8 fates
3a - If no atma is dropped, repeat step 2
3b - If you get an atma, start again from step 1

I had multiple instances where I could predict when an atma would drop. Between atmas, I would keep track of fates per zone (that count would reset with each atma drop). Atma would always drop within 5 fates in that case. To me it seemed like there was a "sequence", that sequence either being global or unique per relic weapon (I am about to start exploring this idea with the Summoner weapon). However, maybe I was just lucky. This idea still relies on randomness. I also believe gold, silver, and bronze rewards do impact the drop rate.

SIDE NOTE: Can we please increase the max character limit on initial posts. Having to edit something just to finish a post is getting really, really annoying.
