Unfortunaly anyone who does not see a flaw in this review is one of the following

1) Horribly misinformed (since the reviewers information is wrong...not opinions but what was presented as fact is 100% wrong)

2) A forum troll

3) or just plain stupid


As said many times no one cares about the content... because everysingle person almost agreed that the game is deserving of a 5.1 score atm. I am a fan and I will say that is right.

It is the fact a review that is useless to readers was released days before a game changing update. and the content of it is wrong... everything they rumored is proven fact...

A review is designed to help those considering buying the game.. THE REVIEW DOES NOT REFLECT THE GAME ANYMORE! so there for it is dmging to the game without a reason.

Unfortunately Most people fall into the category of 3 >.< It's why they CAN'T READ... and continuously post in the thread acting like people are upset over the score, or their ego is too big to accept what the journalist (Doubt you could even call her that lmao) did wrong lol

Another thing is all the whiners saying 1.18 isn't much in terms of content or changes (and the reviewer saying auto attack is a rumor lmfao when it's been confirmed for months). These summer updates are the definition of game changer, regardless of whether you like em or hate em they are in fact changing the course/core of the game, not hard to understand people. Reception of said content or changes has nothing to really do with it! The game and its core ARE changing for better or for worse and that in itself was even more of a reason why NOT to publish a review right now! (And as been pointed out the reviewer clearly didn't even play the game, can't get facts straight, and calls confirmed content rumors?!?!?! And you people are defending this? *facepalm*)

You're completely right though Xatsh, people defending this ...ugggh ... review... are one of those 3. I can think of many more options but technically they all tie in with being "Just plain stupid" LMAO

Also wanna point out to all the white knights too that always say opinions can never be wrong. Opinions CAN be wrong, someone who's misinformed and states their opinions on false facts or ignorance makes their opinions not only wrong but invalid as well.

Doesn't matter (and i find it massively fun that people still blabber about the score). What matters is that the review is chocked full of hyperbole (which makes it a misrepresentation of the game), and even more that the game will simply be different in two days. Better of worse is inconsequential.

Misinformation is always detrimental.

Sorry, I do not understand these hyperbolic terms "chocked full of" and "blabber". Please submit your replies in binary code or mathmetical equations so that we can form a fair discussion on the matter without resorting to vague terms.

There is only fact and fiction.

The fact is: The review was not "chocked full of" nor was there any "blabbering". These are figures of speech which are not conducive to an argument for the reason that they are exaggerations of truth, and very spurious ones at that. Such phrases rely on value judgments to gain their meaning.

Please, I beg you, submit your answer in terms of Boolean logic. It is difficult to discuss an issue when it is masked by several cases of hyperbole and figures of speech.

Actually what I see here from you and a few others is akin to a 5 years old throwing a temper tantrum because many dare to criticize the poor little innocent reviewer at MMORPG that wrote an extremely shoddy and inaccurate review in a fishy timeframe and is being called on it.

I don't care if you make yourself look like a fool along with everyone else going to essentially troll someone. That's fine if you want to do that. I hardly see how those of us who can actually see the author's point are throwing a temper tantrum. We're not the one calling people names.

How have I bashed the game? Oh right, I haven't. Anyone who posts here is most likely wanting this game to succeed. I wouldn't still be following it if I didn't, and this retort from white knights reeks of fanboyism.

Actually the game has improved quite a lot since release. Of course irrational haters won't admit it, but they won't admit it now like they won't admit it with patch 2.0.

It actually hasn't. Any non-FF player going in XIV is just as likely to put it down right now as they were at launch. Sure, the UI lag is largely fixed, there a few quests that have no real purpose, and NMs that feel like filler material. Clearly the game is golden compared to launch. If it makes me a hater to call a spade a spade, then label me a hater until the cows come home. I'm not going to sit here and pretend the game is great just because I enjoy it, or you enjoy it. It's not.

I use to get all defensive over this game, then I realized I wasn't really having fun and pretty much quit playing.

Sometimes, the things we may hate to hear or read bother us because we deny the truth contained in it....
