Oh I see, you thought I meant player rankings, and not the "official reviews" that are clearly written by people whose payment comes from their extremely heavy advertising. Yeah, they're not paying people in back alleys to vote for their games. I am sorry you didn't understand.

All in all I agree with you, XIV wouldn't have been a great x-mas present in 2010.

I think everything the writer said was justified but it should have been written at least 6 months ago.
It's pointless to write it now, not just when considering the fact that things are changing soon but because everything the review points out is ancient history. If you missed the boat then don't bother. What a waste of time, on multiple levels.

Yeah right. 10months later, and theres still a broken system. whatever. Die hard I guess.
I cant wait for the "Golden patch" I expect a mediocre cut/paste dungeon, a few peices of equally lame gear. And some cheesy tank and spank boss fights. 3-4weeks of content at best.

10 months is plenty of time to get some stuff in play. Bottom line, this dev team is serously under staffed and it shows. Ive gotten more patches/content/hotfixes in 2 months of rift than my whole time on ffxiv combined.

Your totally right, because SE does not have high financial backing....or years of experience behind them. And your arguments that because Trion copied other successful mmos somehow makes my original statement invalid. Ok, that is about the same reasoning level as me getting bent at SE for copying Mana and Cure from other RPG's. Ideas come from somewhere, Trion just happened to gather them From EQ/GW/WoW.

In the end...you still haven't managed to put up an intelligent counter my original statement. 10 months is plenty of time to get something done with this game. But hey, in three days....I'll be wrong....maybe.

Reading the comments for the review is hilarious.

I wish there were more people like that on these forums. People who actually want things instead of the apologetic and ever-forgiving FF fans here who would be happy with nothing at all provided they had some vague promise by the leadership of adding something "in the future, maybe".

Alot of those people get banned on here for speaking out their mind as alot of the times they have strong opinion about the game.

what's funny is on release people jumped on the reviewers for legit reviews such as this one. they said wait for 6 months and most sites did that. when their 6 month review came out they jumped on them for those legit arguments. then 6 was told to wait until around mid june for the battle changes. this site waited not only until mid june til mid/late july and people are jumping on them. if they held off reviews til 2020 people would still be complaining they didn't give yoshi enough time.

the review is legit and very much spot on.
