Wouldn't mind limiting teleports again by the use of the anima currency (or whatever it was called in 1.0)
In exchange they should link the chocobo porters better, it's annoying that I have to switch two or three times to get anywhere.

But I don't really see what would be gained from forcing everybody to ride everywhere.
I explored every zone in depth when I quested there, I explored them again while hunting atmas, again when I go and gather mats, again when I do hunts.
For my part I must say that I explore more than enough, what would I gain by riding along the same roads again and again to get from settlement A to settlement B?
    - Roads are usually safe, no monsters around and most wouldn't attack a lvl 50 char anyway.
    - Chatting while riding? Nope
    - Immersion? Yes, the loading screens between zones are so realistic... (sarcasmn)

This is something I can get behind. I make liberal use of the chocobo porters, and I've asked on more than one occasion for their little transportation network to get some much needed upgrades. I ought to be able to hop on a porter in Ul'dah and have it take me to Saint Coinach's Find if I want to. Instead I would have to go to Drybone, then Tranquil, then Gridania, then Fallgourd Float, then Dragonhead, then Revenant's Toll, then finally Saint Coinach's Find.

Mitt Romney? I didn't know you played FFXIV!
