    The boards are fine, I know what people are complaining about, but seriously, pay attention to supply and demand, it's the heart of any economy. Something new gets released, item prices skyrocket, people farm this, more becomes available, items prices tank and bottom out. Next fad gets released, prices soar, it's a cycle, you just have to watch for content. I'm hardly a gillionaire and I can see this system is a player driven economy, SE does nothing, if there's anything to complain about, complain about the people undercutting the market and making a price for an item fall prematurely, but then again, any economy has THAT problem too. Just pay attention to things that are always needed (clusters for example) the prices there remain fairly stable.

    If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done?

    I think the price is decided by supply and demand, and players also consider cost efficiency (labour/time cost). ^^;

    I'm going to first start off by telling you that Roosevelt became America's 32nd president on March 4, 1933. Herbert Clark Hoover became president March 4, 1929, 8 months BEFORE the stock market crashed. The reason the stock market crashed is a combination of over zealous people buying in margin, inflation, and ignorance. I suggest you do some research on the subject, look at "Black Thursday" October 24th, 1929. A simple google search will help you not look like a complete fool on the subject.

    As for your uncanny idea to compare the Market Board to the Stock Market, let me give you some VERY basic information on it. Someone buys a stock, the price goes up. Someone sells said stock, the stock goes down. This is NOTHING like the market board where you decide if you want to buy something or get the item yourself. Who cares if you don't sell something in 2 days or 2 years, you can either change your price, or stop selling it. It's a buyer's market, nothing is "broken". As for the "tax" imposed, go to the city they are selling your item from and buy it from that board, you don't pay the tax, and the seller does. It's that easy.

    And finally, I suggest you look in the "New Deal" that Roosevelt helped create. The three "R"s is what you are referring to in regards to the "think tank" project. Mainly, "reform". Educate yourself before you think to come onto the web and shout your obvious ignorance in the real world.

    Oh, and one last thing. Money is completely useless in this game. You can gather, farm, and craft every single thing you can possibly think you need in here with a little bit of elbow grease. Gear can be gotten in dungeons, same with potions.

    I know we cant compare the real world with the virtual world but the gil system is not working, at least for me it isn't or at Cactuar, cuz items that takes a whole day to do it costs 1gil and items that you can buy it from a store is sold for the same price as a house(and these r items with a heart so u see how ppl are taking advantage of "supply and demand") , I know its getting worse cuz in the beginning I would make money by just being a Goldsmith and making accessories but now everyone is basically a Goldsmith making their own items selling for thousands of gils, they are not selling them cuz when you look at the last item that was bought it was weeks ago, so they put 100Gil to sell it fast, everyone comes in and puts 50gil,30gil,2gil. but w.e I asked you guys what you thought about the board, you guys said it was fine so let me make money by killing enemies and getting 8gils per kill cuz ill totally become the bill gates of the Cactuar world like that, better start now lol

    I see you take issue with the tax system and people selling things for an inflated price. Neither of those two things mean that the board is broken. If you don't want to pay the tax, you can buy it from the city it's listed in with no tax applied. Players can sell items for whatever price they want, it doesn't mean anyone is going to buy it.

    There's nothing broken about the market; it's simply a close-to-pure Lassaiz-faire system, and that makes a lot of people who live inside nice comfy regulated economies, uncomfortable and fearful.

    The strong survive and thrive; the less able do not - as it should be!

    It's fine and I'm not one of the rich but I get by. I'm just starting crafting and farm all mats myself. Anything high quality I make goes on the board and it sells. You'll be surprised how lazy people are and you can also sell mats not for huge amounts but it all adds up. Any gear I grow out of as I lvl I convert to materia if it's not something I need to save until I can meld it I sell it. This is all without even trying. So far I have made enough to buy everything I wanted with Gil to spare. I have no inclination to play the market but that sounds like one way to get rich if that's what you are looking for

    So much this. I only started in March and I've made well over 20 million gil just by watching and taking advantage of both stable prices in the long term and short-term market trends brought on by game updates.

    The market is a wonderful, wonderful sandbox. You just have to know how to play in it.

    No they did not. Can you miner / harvest an unspoiled node while at work during real life? I sure cannot. If you can, what is your secret?

    What does that have to do with it? He was saying that it's not impossible to gather things in the game since you're not restricted on what you can be.
