So I see that there are a lot of Threads and replies about how the board is broken and how it should be fixed. Some people agree while others don’t, people say that the tax is completely useless to the seller and buyer, but take that out and the rich will become even richer while the poor will become even poorer. I love final fantasy and SE cuz their games are amazing but they should really hire a math geek team to design a number system or something that can solve this issue because the board is broken. We cant have total control of the board cuz we break the board without even knowing it . Look, I know the sellers hate when we complain about this cuz they're usually like "the board is fine!" while they have tons of Gils saved up and we are struggling to survive.

Listen sellers, keep selling that water(for example) for 500K each and people will go and get them on their own (that’s why being a basic crafter doesn’t make money anymore, ppl just became crafters and began crafting the things themselves), ppl are just not gonna buy stuff on the board anymore, that’s what I think. What do you guys think? how should this board be fixed? cuz this is a world wide problem.

have you seen other threads about the market, dont take my word for it, go look at them yourself, im not even going to post the links cuz its too many, it is not working, the prices are crazy, ppl are not making money off the board cuz ppl are ruining the prices selling items for a low price ruining for the sellers and then some ppl see that what they are going to sell something that no one is selling so they put 9,999,999Gil like what? and this is completely fine?

Oh...it's another one of those "SE plz control the market board" thread...I gave up trying to talk sense to you people. So I'll just sit back and eat my popcorn. I've seen all of them and it all gave me a good laugh. I'll still stand by the fact that I'll sell whatever I want at whatever price I want.

Buy low, sell high. Remember that and you too can become rich. I have made alot of money off the boards, just from buying and reselling. I made over 40k profit just by buying and reselling 2 pieces of lumber. Just have to know how to play the market.

What do I think? I think the boards aren't even needed. SE designed the game so that you can acquire every mat, craft everything, and meld every item by yourself (with a few friends for instanced mats, of course).

So I think you're putting too much faith in the economy. Do everything yourself and don't worry about who's the richest person in Eorzea. The ONLY things that restrict you from playing due to lack of money at the moment is gardening for mats, and raising your chocobo's level.

I would love if they got rid of every market board and forced everyone to barter and interract with other people via a bazaar again.

No actually I DONT want them to control the board, I want them to hire/find someone to find a theory/system that makes the board not crash(sometimes ppl don’t sell for days) I hate to bring history into this but when the stock market crashed on 1929 Roosevelt became the president and with the brain trust group, he fixed the economy and he made a way that if something like that happened again it wasn’t going to be that bad sooo the stock market crashed on 2008 and it was so bad cuz of system that they made, I believe that a system should be made. Sell whatever u want at whatever price u want, but lets see how long u'll sell

You cannot compare our domestic or world market with an MMO game, there is really no comparison (other than VERY basic economics). Also, it is ridiculously easy to make money in this game, they hand it to you for everything and as long as you put in some work (meaning treasure hunting, crafting, buying/selling, etc. etc.) you too will be wealthy.
