Wedding service in FFXIV

Big post, not really necessary to repost everything in this quote.

Anyhow, there are a lot of points in your post, a lot. This is not a place to discuss homosexuality, or how the family values of the world have come to a turd these days. Not really saying "you shouldn't have posted that!", it's just that there's no point in arguing since the thread would then most likely be closed and burned to the ground.

To the point at hand. I quote you:

Correct. SE has no obligation to actually give us same-sex marriage between our characters, but if we are really forgetting our differences ,then what do you care if a male character has a marriage with another male character? I see no way in how it could affect you.

And then:

The fact is, if men only slept with men, and woman with woman, there would be no human race, pure and simple.

Nobody is debating this. But this doesn't really translate to the world in FFXIV. It's just an example, but most of the "problems" that same-sex marriage has on the real world actually don't affect the in-game world. Death of the human race? No reproduction in FFIXV. My religion? Heck, we have 12 gods in XIV. Kids with two dads in preschool? No kids in XIV.

What I'm trying to get is that it shouldn’t affect anyone if same-sex marriage is allowed in the game. Most people wouldn’t even know that those two cat-girls are married. And people who would like to marry a same sex character in-game would be happy to do so.
