man, them and they is just a word used to point out two or more of something. It would be no different in calling men them or women they or dogs they or Egyptians them, (do you like orange trees? I've never seen them before!) you've got some serious issues on the subject and THIS is why this trash marriage idea should be left out of this game because not EVERYONE (i hope 'everyone' doesn't offend you Quatre) can agree on the subject and its a little more then game mechanics... its a real life issue. Offending people on real life issues is not a good business strategy.

Though in XI it's for opposite sex partners only and it pretty much sux. I'd hate to see them pull a bigoted move like that again, especially since XIV is full of sexual references everywhere, straight or gay, and some of them are quite racy may I add >_> I'd rather have no marriage at all than witnessing this all over again.

It screws over the whole community as people roleplaying an opposite sex of their real life one get cut out too. What about all the straight guys trapped in Miqo'te bodies?

This is true, but Yoshida said they plan on having male miqo'te and female roeg's by PS3 Release ! Even so, there would still be those man cats out there who would stay female cat, and they shouldn't be banned from marriage with a female happening to be playing a female or even another male happening to be playing a female for it.

FFXI did not promote same sex marriage either.

To many people marriage is a man and a woman, however when you throw in same sex marriage (which is not a normal household idea in most cases) people start to think so therefore when opposite sex marriage was introduced to FFXI there where not a lot of complaints (Because nobody bought the game just to marry a freaking fictional character) and THIS is why it did not crash but now your bringing in something irregular to the mass population of the world and you will see problems. Instead of asking for all of these problems by introducing either opposite marriage only or both opposite and same sex marriage howabout just leave it out? Its a terrible concept anyway, instead you all want to be so stubborn and selfish by asking for such a dumbass feature you do not care about other peoples real life feelings on the topic.

Isn't it selfish for not considering the feelings of those who want or agree with same sex marriage as well? If they were to put it in the game, they should not be so narrow minded as to only follow the 'social norm'.

I've got a better one, what about all the people who are against polygamy? It doesn't hurt you that one dude and 50 women all wanted to be married to each other, they should put this in game as well.

Too many concepts out of the norm, which is one man one woman, therefore it should be left out of game until all concepts are accepted.

In all honesty i dont care what people want to do with themselves but in this case its a freaking game, why bring politics and real life religious beliefs into it?
