This was before PF and people shouted in Mordohna for parties. If you weren't full DL or close to it, they didn't want you.

There were groups like that, sure, but I'd like to think they were the exception, not the rule. At least on Balmung, I never had issues finding a group in about half DL half Toxotes.

Meh, the community was pretty silly at the time (as opposed to now, right?). I mean, relic weapons required for AK? That was just. . .yeah. . .

Err, don't you have to run AK at least once in order to get your Relic weapon to begin with? lol

You must not have been around back then lol. AK used to be the only place to get Myth from (eventually added it to WP, which led to WP-SRs taking over), and people wanted to get it as fast as possible, so requiring a Relic (which normally meant you had gear and knew what you were doing back then) was the "easiest" thing to do to ensure you got a "good" group.
