Even this shows zero proof of cheating.

Now, I'm all for playing devil's advocate but...if you're in the most remote location with no one around you and you know monster names do not normally show up as Green NPC names (unless you changed it to show up as Green) and normally not have a players name under it, why would you tell your Linkshell (Rank mob) is up when you see the chocobo as that name and they all come rushing over?

Not saying it's not possible but...summoning your chocobo and no one is around then suddenly people all rush over to it....is kind of telling. Yes, you can run all over the map, but numerous people suddenly rushing to your newly summoned chocobo?

It's one thing if NOBODY is around and then the horde comes running up... that indicates someone is using an app... but the person who I was responding to said just one person came riding up, which really means nothing.

Even when the horde does appear to come out of nowhere, even that isn't definitive proof. The person making the accusation would need to be 100 percent certain that absolutely NOBODY was in eyeshot of the mob. News travels extremely fast through hunt linkshells, and depending on the location of the NM relative to the teleport crystal, the horde really could appear to just appear out of thin air.

Honestly, just as I'm confident that some people cheat, I'm also confident there are some bitter/cynical people out there who see what they want to see.

When we say "remote location" what are we talking about here? I don't know any remote locations in this game. If you're talking say... Natalan or Behemoths Dominion, both of those places are spawn points for Naul, so it's not surprising that people "rushed" there. Just throwing examples out here not putting words in your mouth, but this game isn't big, I can't think of any truly remote place, except maybe when we could walk off the map in Coerthas.

BTW, some radars show a chocobo head next to the chocobo name as they know some people are doing this for witch hunting...

Can definitely verify that. Was harassing cheaters all last week with my chocobo, but doesn't have the same effect the last 2 or 3 days.

This isn't harassment though. You can't get banned for just renaming your chocobo.

Most hunting people even have macros /l#, /fc or /p <flag> that repost <pos> you get to given channel.

What would the macro look like exactly? Gets tiring posting the coords to something across like 3 chats.

I'm sorry, but that's a horrible intent. You're renaming your chocobo in order to ban someone's account, something they paid for and im most cases never did wrong by anyone. Why do you think cheaters cheat anyway? Some might do it because they can, but I believe most do it as an act of desperation more than anything. It's more sad to me than it is annoying. A lot of people have been making the app users out to be venomous monsters, but I think its time to look in the mirrors, friends.
