When will SE start banning for the witch hunts?

I'm seeing a lot of people witch hunting currently, blaming everyone who does hunts effectively, as a third party tool user.

This sort of thing is wrong, why is that people are allowed to sling these kind of insults and attacks at people, people that simply understand the workings of the hunt systems, that each creature has a spawn timer and by tracking these, using simple things such as a pen and paper, they're immediately branded a third party tool user.

So I ask, when are they going to start being removed for throwing slanderous comments like this at people?

Getting really tired of it myself, just look at the topic about the app usage a few threads below and see the shit I am getting because I am telling people to simply learn to mechanics.

Nah, that'd take too much effort. They'd rather have everything given to them rather than put any effort into it cuz keeping track of spawns is hard work, yo.

And I would wager 90% of the people slinging those insults are idling at an aetheryte, waiting for a linkshell to call out the coordinates you worked to find, and them flaming you because you didn't wait 4 minutes instead of 3 to pull and they didn't get their free seals.

Unless a specific person is constantly harassing you and/or using derogatory words (like, not just calling you a cheater once), I'd say never.

To be fair, people on all sides are guilty of doing this: cheaters, legit hunters, and the people putting in no work at all.
There is no "not guilty" side here, except for the individuals NOT talking sh*t via shout and tell. The amount of hatred and mud slinging this has spawned within the playerbase is sickening and it proves that the FFXIV playerbase can not handle this sort of content.

Honestly, I just want the madness to come to an end; and, at this point, I don't care how it's done.

I thought I could escape it by avoiding. lol. nope. I focused on leveling my crafters instead of checking out Hunts. Running leves in Coerthas is a text headache. The moment I arrive the chat box begins scrolling like a stock ticker on crack. Mostly insults and whining... It's hard not letting this crap effect your mood!

Let's say the Dev's do nothing. What are options (realistic) to combat this tragic turn in the community? My guess is Patience. Trolls have short attention spans and will move on.

Had a close friend in my free company getting her atma book kills in cape Westwind. Nobody was anywhere near her and the slime pops. It's a B-rank. Not even 30 seconds later someone calls it's location in one of those "hunt only" linkshells and isn't at cape Westwind. My friend only told us on team speak it popped on top of her. Funny how this person called the exact location when she was nowhere near the mob who was hiding behind two walls. She was calling locations all day long. Pretty sure they are doing an investigation on said person.

Do you blame people for getting annoyed? Had a friend change is chocobo name to one of the A ranks and he sat in a corner where nobody goes and can see. Low and behold someone came straight to his location lol.

Honestly, the only way they'd be able to do something is if they get so abusive in their comments that even their mother would backhand them over being vulgar. There's a reason online interactions can't be rated, after all. Personally, though, I'd just ignore them. It's no worth feeding the trolls and if they do get that vulgar, let them hang themselves. No need to provide the rope.
