Is the PS3(4?) holding back the game?

What I wanna know is why all the crapping on ps3 users specifically. Don't you think there are an equal number of pc players using crappy machines "holding the game back". Wake up. High end gaming pcs are the minority in FFXIV. Special snowflake syndrome much. Psst se is trying accommodate as many people as possible so they can make money to continue to grow the game. Alienating a large portion of the player base sans elite gaming pc would be just stupid.

Nobody is "crapping" on the Ps3 users, objectively speaking the average PC used to play videogames nowadays is cheaper and more powerful than the Ps3, high end users aren't even part of the discussion here. We aren't talking about a fresh new console either we're talking about an 8 year old piece of equipment running a "brand new" Modern MMO.

It isn't some personal crusade against Ps3 users, in fact the players never entered the conversation so please try not to make this out to be a personal slight.

Hardware has limitations, and the Ps3 being a piece of hardware means that it does have limitations. You simply don't have the ability to upgrade a Ps3 in the same fashion as a PC that much isn't debatable.

This isn't new either, the fact that many Ps3 players are already upgrading to SSDs in order to deal with certain issues is proof of this, but they can only go so far.

Whether the limitations of Ps3 hardware are apparent and hurting the game at the current time is certainly something that is free to debate, however in a year? two years? more? which the devs will certainly be shooting for with this game those answers will become more and more obvious.

I started to play on PS3 and sucked, for example, at Titan HM because 1) had delay on plumes that happened because of PS3, not my net connection or SE servers and 2) graphics were so crappy that I had to try get shiny gear just to be able to see where I run in between aoe and other players.
Also at big fates always had to wait and watch other players attacking thin air and sometimes got killed by invisible aoe.

After I got PS4 all my problems are fixed - great graphics, no delays, faster loading screens. Besides having controller actually gives me advantage over PC players because I can dodge aoe better.

Also - SE said it long time ago already that PS3 can't keep up with new content/improvements (not enough memory) and I'm sure they will not "fix" any of PS3 user issues simply because it is impossible. If you can't afford PS4 then unfortunately you just have to try and live on with all the problems.

I fail to see how anything on your controller is superior than just pushing a key. Moving around on the PC is not difficult in the slightest.

Which you've aparently didn't bother actually read as it says nothing about memory limitation of PS4! :P (It explains clearly limitation of the game save file and it's related to minor part of the game - PVP.)

I just wish they were on their own server(s). Sucks trying to do content and your group can't talk because they don't have a keyboard on their consoles.

Another elitist moron - you should be actually moved to your own server ... Not "having" (or using) keyboard have nothing to do with consoles - you can have and plug it into console the same way like on PC as well as you can decide not to bother using it (for chat) on PC.

i know im dumb PC elitist so i dont understand but can you please explain to me how tilting analog stick for example to the left and pushing "A" is so diferent that you can dodge better with tilting when you consider that by pushing "A" your finger travel less distance.

The PS4 is stronger then the usual PC round here. I dont think that all FFXIV players have a High End PC.

I see this thread turned into a PC/PS battle. I would think they probably need both on the same servers. Could you imagine que times for dungeons if they weren't. Then there would be, "can we please have cross platform servers so que times aren't so long" threads.
