I'm no PC guru, but from what I see the PS4 has twice the amount of memory that is recommended for PC's to run the game. Or am i looking at that the wrong way?

.... that is because their is no point to raising the min requirement past that of a ps3 if your going to support it.
Plus on PC the video settings can be adjusted for the computer, so you can support shitty computers and good ones.
Your point is moot.

Wasn't trying to make a point, was asking a question.

I know people using 3rd party programs are a minority. But so are console players not using a keyboard.
Just making a comparison.
I think cross platform servers are great btw.![]()

FFXIV is a much better PC port than FFXI is. You don't have to use third party applications to work around a terrible UI. The new UI they've been working on for years now only seems to add extra chat window and moveable windows. I recall downloading patches from third party web sites as the Playonline downloader was incredibly slow.
I wish this game will get a framework for plugins that WoW has as that thing is awesome.

I just wish I could have more chat windows and i could resize the damned text to smaller than 12pt. Oh, and the macro icon system is a joke now.
Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.

Does anyone know the breakdown of how many PC to PS users there are?
This. How long would this game survive without the PS3/4 players? I doubt the PC user base alone would carry it for as long as FFXI. The first version bombed remember and a lot of people on here seem to look back on that as fondly as XI.
The only problem I have with PS3/PS4 is that it seems to be the main reason we aren't allowed to have addons.
