Wow that blows, I've been screwed over by zergs here on Ramuh so I just assumed, since the JP players are always froming 8man groups via PT finder and I'm just too timid towards joining them since I don't speak the language ><This particular thread is to address the use of third party "radar" tools that make it easier to locate hunt mobs. So I think that's pretty safely "abuse".
Admittedly, people are dragging a lot of other Hunt baggage into this thread. Third party apps aren't the entire problem (in fact I think it's one of the smaller ones, save for teleporting, that's huge), but that's what the OP proposed a solution for.

The upside is they only work for visual range anyway (client doesn't get data for all mobs in the zone, just what you can see). So with good parties, linkshells, etc working together, it's perfectly possible to be competitive without using said tools. Solo, though, you're going to have a rough time. And I think that's something they could address since I don't think it's meant to be *this* competitive in the first place... but I like OP's idea for at least hindering app users while not burdening regular players.
