    Just reading patch notes and....

    Magicked Stable Broom x20
    Glazenut
    Broombush
    Bamboo Stick x5
    Wind Cluster
    Ice Cluster

Does this mean each craft yields 20 brooms? This feels like a one time use only item. What will be the time frame when we have to clean? Once a day? Once a week? Once a month?

if it were to make sense, the rate that it gets dirty depends on how many chocobos are stabled, and how much time they spend there, so anywhere from "very often" to "every once in awhile" ( terms that are as well defined as "soon").

looks like it is, most multi-item crafts, like pots, are consumeables.

    So judging by the information...
150 'bos - one stable = a LOT of food.
Therefore needs more cleaning - which takes up supposedly much needed Garden space to produce both Glaze and Broombush.

*Sigh* I hope this is a lot better then it looks. Feels like it is far too much hassle and we might as well ignore the stable in favour of combat raising at this point.

I would have thought there would be a default food or an alternative way to get the food like an NPC/GC/what have you, but it clearly states you must have one of the new vegetables which are produced from the garden. Not 'of which one way top obtain is through gardening'.

I didn't see the x20 on that. My fears have kind of been confirmed then. Even with 20 a synth, that synth is going to be very pricey. I'm really hoping we'll only have to clean like once a month.. because I would be broke in one synth if I had to buy the mats at the cost they are now... (actually not sure I could even afford that one synth right now lol)

That depends on whether your FC leader allows that many people to stable their choco's in the first place. I think a lot of people didn't catch the little blurp in the Free Companies section that states the ability to stable and train others' chocobo's has been added to the authorization window. In other words like gardening the lower tiers won't have access to the stables unless given permission, which considering the rarity of mats needed I can see that being a valid reason for large FC's to lock people out.

LOL maybe there is no more "casual" stuff, you can basically be hardcore hardcore or casual hardcore, where people can either spend an equal amount of time gaining the best possible gear OR making the fanciest of all chocobos. xP

Oh... It did not cross my mind that the implementation of a system (supposedly for everyone in a FC) could be so restrictive; that a FC might even lock people out of even trying to do it simply to conserve the limited resources.

I always try to look on the bright side, but this is not looking very good at all.

I can't help but feel these would not be problems at all if
    1. the brooms were made of straw and walnut etc instead and
    2. the seeds can be gathered directly instead of cross bred.

I am still hoping for number 2 to be true.

So in other words, something else XI did better. I think in their path to "being as different from XI as possible" they seem to forget that XI did certain aspects so much better they seemed to step backwards rather that forwards in regards.
