So don't give me the whine "i play like i want, i want they to give me everything for nothing" that you are ridiculus. You don't want to do that dungeon? Good, don't queue for DR but select the ones you want to do and let the DF start. You want the prize to help ppl with eavery dungeon they may need? Eat that copperbell hard and don't whine, you are reworded to do it, you quit? you loose your daily reward. It seems fair to me
Roulette is a pain sometimes and frankly I don't want to run xy dungeon again for the nth time. Maybe I am looking for an expert roulette but I am exhausted of doing Speed Runs or maybe I want to Bray speed run. I am unable to tolerate the same dungeon over and over again, so I will drop it right out the gate and that should be my right as a player. I have had healers drop on me, dps, etc. I have put up with crappy healers, crappy dps, crappy tanks. Me as a player should have the right to be able to choose which dungeon I want to and don't want to run. Yeah I can suck it up. But I have already sucked it up with all the crappy players and some dungeons I just am not in the mood for. So I don't see why people are crying about a tank dropping. A good healer can heal Toto-Rak just fine without having a tank, I know I have done it. Same with Cutter's Cry and many others.

I don't think the punishment should be changed. If you are so worried about people dropping then PF it and group up to do Roulettes. You say suck it up and complete it, well I say suck it up and find a new tank or move on.

Like I said, It's roulette you ask for then roulette you will get, simple enough isn't it? If you want to do many dungeon they can have you specify 5 dungeons/trial/whatever you want to run. Want that myth/sold? How about multiple 15 mins BF HM speed run with your friend? It's way faster than get a roulette and leave then got a locked out.

Many times I run Amdapor city or such just for fun or for gear that doesn't matter, so, If anything please at least try to complete it, try tell someone what you want them to do If you tried and quit because of you can't go with the group by any reasons even it's still bad thing to do but it's better than leave without try. The problems are there for you to try to solve not to run away.

I do aware that some people just cannot do what they are told to do because there real life problem, connection problem, there are idiot, trolling, lack of experience, etc. It will be the test for your tolerate threshold. I agreed that in some case it cannot be solved or cannot complete a run in the dungeon, if it the case you have to leave with a good reason, but not before you try!

I do play DPS for sometime and I gonna repeat I never saw any class other than tank leave instantly after the dungeon start (before duty commence), leaving the clock ticking inside the dungeon maybe 30-45 mins before we get a new tank.

They need to just add a leavers penalty; if you unqueue more then 3 times in a 15 minute window; you get the normal leavers policy.

There aren’t many tanks on. Probably because of stress, responsibility, too hard, got teased, laughed at,etc.. There are many reasons!! Stress- scared of making a mistake and being laugh at or cursed at. Responsibility-Tanks have more to deal with than other classes like holding adds switching with OTs and Mts, how many enemies to grab and pase of going fast or slow. Too hard-so many things to remember and do that if not done perfect…..WIPE especially on Titan and Twintania. If you are a tank or thinking about being one, let me offer some comforting and encouraging words 1) We all have stress in-game and in real life of making mistakes and thats a way to learn. Here is what helps me with stress. "Cast all your anxiety on Him cause He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7. 2) The responsibility is something you signed up for and comes with class. 3) Practice makes perfect(almost). Work at it and be become habit/easier.

As a wise person once said: " If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". Weather forecast for tanks: Steamy

you're level 41, you haven't even met Titan HM yet. you're not in the kitchen yet either.

i think its because being a tank is unattractive.
*you don't deal crazy amounts of damage
*you don't have a lot of pzazz on your spells.
*leveling is painful as a tank, especially a gladiator(in my opinion, only got glad to 22 for provoke).
*everyone depends on you to make less mistakes.

President Harry S. Truman said that. But let me also turn your attention to what Paul said in Philippians 4:6 “ Be anxious for NOTHING(includes Tanking), but in everything(includes this game Final Fantasy) by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests(to be a better tank or healer, etc) be made known to God. Give people second chances. Don’t throw them “out the kitchen” because of one wrong move.

Why drop and not vote kick? Not like the wait is long for another DPS to show.

Personally, I think each time you choose to Leave, one or 3 commendations should be taken from you. But what do I know.

Its just a game. If I die, I die. No big deal my person will just respawn and move on.

In all honesty though. I think people forgot what gaming was. There are tons of people who take gaming way too seriously, like its a job to them, its their career. I guess some people don't have much in the world, and maybe this is all they have, so they put everything into it, because they have nothing else but this. I mean if I ever get to the point where I am checking out all the other party members gear out to make sure its up to my standards, and leave a dungeon because its not, I'm going to hang it up. That is way too serious for me.

Tanks obviously aren't the only ones who leave dungeons. Who knows why they leave, personal reasons, something came up, phone rang, baby crying, connection lost, don't like the gear you are someone else is using, there are tons of reasons. Who knows. Maybe they just don't like the people they are paired up with. I may be a low level, but I see no issues with tanking, I actually enjoy it. When I can get into a dungeon because one of those reasons I listed happens to me (baby crying, she takes first priority over the game). Most of the people I have been paired up with are either very helpful, or don't really say anything and we make it through anyways. Maybe the end game content is way different, but I really don't see myself there anytime soon, my sub will probably run out before I get there.

Until SE either makes tanking more appealing to people, or people stop being a donkey to those who are willing to try tanking, doesn't look like its ever going to change.

They recently increased the myth reward for completing dungeons with new people. I think it will help a lot.
What if he was about to switch out of it? I gotta say it amazes me how passive you people are in game while being snarky and snappy on the forums. Why not just ask him to put on proper gear or ask him if he really intends to go through the whole dungeon like that.

It's such a delusional way of thinking "well even the 30 minute timer + the obvious 15 minute awesome speed run I'll get next roulette is about how long that group would have taken me, so no time lost". Honestly I'm kind of glad I didn't decide to tank in this game just so I'm not associated with this behavior.
