Any chance that the fanfest ingame items will be sold on mogstation?

You understood Tupsi's point with the contest rewards and Pre-order minions/hats. This is no different. Whatever item they get at Fan Fest should be limited to attendance, otherwise they may as well just slap it in a vendor in game and let you buy it for 100 gil.

This is different than pre-order bonuses and the like though. For the Pre-order bonuses, every one who wanted to play the game got to spend more or less the exact same amount of money in the same time frame to get it.

For a Fan Fest held in only three cities globally, one person may just have to purchase tickets because they live in the city. And maybe take a couple days off work. Another person may need to take a week off work, get an updated passport, arrange and pay for international travel (like our Australian friends for instance) to one of the events that mostly speaks their language, pay for room and board, and hopefully don't have any other personal issues at the time interfering with them being away for so long.

This gives a huge advantage to a small portion of the player-base who live in certain geographical locations just because they live in that area.

And really, that doesn't take into account those that don't speak English or Japanese as, from what I can see, those will be the two main languages for the event. Everyone else will miss out as well.
