Group should have kicked the smn for being offline.About a month ago I ran a Turn 2 in Duty finder, as soon as the fight started a summoner d/c'd, stayed disconnected until right before the ADS pull, got locked out, died won both rolls. About two hours later got in another group with the same summoner, right after the fight started mystically d/c'd, reconnected right before ADS was pulled, got locked out, died, but this time at least didn't win anything.

Oh right, my mistake! Geez that's a dirty trick.
Reminds me of the master looter trick I saw one particular pug raid leader use. Chest would open, leader would go mysteriously LD. He would wait about 5 mins then reconnect (before timer was done, but after most or all of the raid would have left the instance). Voila! All loot to leader. He got so notorious that he ended up getting black listed by most raiders on his server and soon could no longer put groups together. But in that game df was one-server only.

I completely agree with this. It's my fault for not clarifying in my post that I was referring to pre-organized PF groups and not df. Ninja loot does indeed exist though. Example joining a pf that specifically says greed party and joining as tank since they desperately need it but you are asking for heal gear. You win and have your heal gear stolen by a healer who needs on it who happened to want it as well. Is it your fault for being helpful for going tank or healers for needing in a group that specifically had clear cut rules about it being greed only? To me I say healer and that's why some kind of loot system besides having to run to GMs and tattle over "X took my Y wahwahhh" every time. Again, like I said though without some way to actually make sure leader doesn't abuse the system it's moot.Ninja loot doesn't exist.
In DF, you have no right at all on the loot.
In PF, you can state the loot rules, make the party members say "I agree to the stated rules", screenshot it, then report anyone idiot enough not to follow them (it falls under "bad behaviour" or something like that iirc).
Again, ninja loot does not exist. If you joined a N>G not as the job you wanted, you are the one at fault, not the guy needing the item.
Could be worse; last time I saw it drop the most unpleasant party member got it. Only two words they had spoken prior to then: "Bard. Move." Because they didn't like what corner I picked to hide from Deep Jungle Couerl I suppose.
The three of us who lost the roll: "Congrats!"
The winner: "lol" -> leaves dungeon
Actually, I've kind of seen this happen... to me... I'm a new player, very new. Only been playing maybe two weeks? And When I was running the level 15, 16, and 17 dungeons I didn't know how to hold hate at all, I had the bronze set which was level appropriate, but that didn't stop 3/4 items in the level 16 dungeon being for me. I've seen the same thing happen in Brayflox's Longstop where I got the full Cavalry set AND Icebrand in a staggering 4 runs after walking into that dungeon still wearing some pieces of the Plunderer set from earlier in the game. It seems whenever my gear falls behind dungeons just throw loot at me. Alternatively I did Dzemael Darkhold after getting level 45 AF and nothing dropped for me.

well, I'll say it again :I completely agree with this. It's my fault for not clarifying in my post that I was referring to pre-organized PF groups and not df. Ninja loot does indeed exist though. unless all participants have stated "I agree to the lot rules of the group", they have no obligation to follow them. Yes it's a douche move. But your blacklist is here for that.

I think everybody has experienced these moments. But the loot is a lottery. It is a system everybody knows and silently agrees to it. Can't put it in question if the roll goes to somebody who doesn't deserve it by player made up standards. If you go out with randoms, nothing is for sure so just take what you get and don't think for too long who deserves what. Gets you nowhere.

not really, it call god bless the noob. I once do T5 with 7 ppl with intent to help random ppl though t5 in DF, and guess what 3 times with 3 different noob, they all got their wep on first win and get carry though the fight since dive bomb

Here's an idea if this bothers you that badly:
Put together a static or a Free Company group made up of players you know will pull their weight.
You don't get to go into stuff via DF and whine because players that might not be doing as well are winning loot rolls. The loot is an RNG lottery. Everyone is entitled to roll for it, regardless of their performance in the fight. You want to set looting rules, then either set up something in Party Finder, or form your own static group or FC group.
Also, as a side note, I really get tired of people saying that players who are saying that they're suffering from latency or lag issues must somehow just be lying to everyone to cover up being "bad". Sure, some players do this, but some people have spotty internet at times and actually do suffer from latency. My connection is constantly about a half second behind most everyone else I play with. They'll announce AoEs during runs before they pop up on my screen (Weight of the Land is a good example.) I can still move out of stuff because I've learned to compensate for it (because I know its going on), but some people may not notice.
