Ouch. I have yet to see that monkey drop in brayflox!Completely disagree with the OP.
However, I was in a Brayflox HM party where the Baby Opo-Opo dropped. Guess who got it? The healer who joined the instance after we had completed about 90% of the dungeon.
Honestly though, good for that player. It's a 1/4 chance, and I (and 2 others) happened to lose out and that healer won. Big deal, stuff happens.
LOL this is so true I've seen someone be the reason we wiped 10+ times and he always gets the loot.. Sometimes before the fight ends i will die.. and 85 percent of the time it works

Healed Levi fight a couple of days ago, SCH had High Allagan Grimoire. They died at least once during the fight and notably weren't anything special. They walked out with an Enbarr. I still disagree on the leader loot though, if you want guaranteed or fair loot you need a static.

About a month ago I ran a Turn 2 in Duty finder, as soon as the fight started a summoner d/c'd, stayed disconnected until right before the ADS pull, got locked out, died won both rolls. About two hours later got in another group with the same summoner, right after the fight started mystically d/c'd, reconnected right before ADS was pulled, got locked out, died, but this time at least didn't win anything.
Disagree on point 1. You can already farm mounts from Beast Tribe quests. There should be something rare to pursue otherwise there's no reason to run them anymore..it just becomes grind grind grind, get the reward, and never do it again.
You mean it isn't that already?
Not with such a low drop-rate + having to outroll 7 other people from different servers (including people who already have the said mount, but don't know the difference between a Nightmare and a coloured mount - and roll for the mount that they already have again). When you have everything else, you can at least farm primals still for mirrors and/or mounts.
Token system just makes it yet again another free hand out. I'd rather deal with the horrible RNG than see every single person in Eorzea riding a different coloured horse.

What does it matter? Lots of people have similar mounts and one cares. Having a colored pony doesn't suddenly make that person special.
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
