    What a ridiculous double standard. The same problems are in both of your cases!! Yet one is alright and the other is "odd"?!

    And When the hell has anyone been able to choose how to lose exp? Especially if you cannot chose when you will be gaining it!?

    This is the sort of nonsense I wish didn't happen in this game, but it plays out time after bloody time.

    ... I see reading and/or interpretation is a miss for you. XI's crafting system had skill caps on them, as if my memory serves right, you could only bring one craft to skill level 100 (originally, due to only being able to utilize 40 additional levels past skill level 60). They've since increased it to... 2(?) crafts to cap 100. If you wanted to change which you specialized in, you would have to forgo your level 100, essentially losing your exp that gained through it, in order to bring up a different one.

    And yes, that would be odd/stupid because one (crafts) is an economics driven use class, and the other is a combat use. Or are you suggesting they're literally the same? There's a reason you can't FATE grind as a craft class. There's a reason you can't queue as a craft class for a dungeon. There's no double standard where the standards are intentionally different because they're literally different things...

    We actually don't know that yet. I agree it would be ridiculous if, in use, we automatically skill it up and we can't control when we want to lose skill levels. If it is something we can control, I see no problems here.

    If there was a way to count the amount of people who care about XI and those who don't, you would be fairly surprised.

    Irrelevant, just like most hate related comments. The person I replied to apparently did not know such a system already exists. The argument you're trying to portray seems more along the lines of ignoring context and facts to simply push an agenda that anything FFXI is not welcome here. "Trying to prove a system exists because someone doesn't know it does? Well it's FFXI, so we must turn this into an FFXI hate thread"... right?

    You're trying to justify its existence here just because it exists in FFXI when XI has nothing to do in this topic, this is FFXIV ARR. Even if every single game in existence worked the same way it has nothing to do with this, the point is that they yet again implement another feature that contradicts with the so advertised armory system.

    Whatever is or is not in XI is irrelevant.

    I'm not justifying its existence for being used here. I'm proving that it exists in general (somewhere within the sea of all MMORPGs), which was what the person I had quoted was in denial of. Just like the person I quoted, you really need to learn to read and comprehend a lot better. I swear, the amount of failure to understand in this thread is beyond belief... but that's the internet I suppose.

    Again, your hateful and biased agenda against anything FFXI, even if used as purely an example of something, is quite laughable. As I pointed out in replies, the Armoury system is purely the ability to switch classes/jobs on the fly... which is exactly what this is. That's all that is ever promoted... you folks just warp what's actually said to what you believe is being said. This puts you in the wrong.
