Because when you say it your way it sounds like they're making changes out of "the goodness of their hearts" for the sake of having happy customers, when the reality is they did it out of a desperate attempt to make their wallets stop crying after how badly they screwed everything up after seemingly trying to emulate every stereotypically evil corporation you see in movies and thinking they'd get away with it.
