Relic Questline about 30% too much IMHO

me i will ask something, we know that new jobs is coming and that the relic quest will continue for a long time...
i will take the example of the ninja, since it come soon. some people will switch of main, with the arrival of the ninja, do you really believe that this person will want to redo one more time the whole stuff?

By the time the new jobs are released, at least the atma/animus portion of the quest will most likely be nerfed. Ninja is releasing in the same patch as the 3rd turn of coil, a new tier. They said they might possibly change the quest when the item level goes up.

Sure it might still take a bit to do, but probably not as bad as right now. This is going on the assumption that there will be a new tombstone to replace soldiery when it gets uncapped and myth is retired.

There will most likely always be alternatives to the relic, other weapons that you can get from the patch content that they release like coil, or primals. The relic quest line is there to fill in holes if you can't get the other weapons.

Not that I disagree that the atma/animus quest is boring, but what you might not find fun, other people might.

There will always be alternatives, yes, but some of us would like to keep the relic itself up to date. Yes, I know that a weathered Rosenbogen would beat the Artemis Bow Animus, and so would a Tidal Wave Bow. And yes, I know that the High Allagan Composite Bow is Best in Slot. The odds of my being able to find time to raid seriously during this tier of content are slim, though, so I'd like to get the best bow I can outside of raids. That's the Novus. But the odds of my finding motivation to finish the book grind and start the Alexandrite grind are also pretty lacking. I mean, if I were to do it all throug BF SRs, it'd take me 173 more runs to get the remaining books. Granted, I'll be doing roulette to mix it up, but you can only do one of each roulette per day, and that often doesn't take long, leaving the rest of my playtime as "huh, what to do now?"
