In FF11 they follow you around, but what if for FF14 anyone could summon (like some FF's) where they appear for a short time, do something, and then disappear (i know pet class enthusiasts would hate this)?
I really hope they do not go that way. It would just kill the hope to have a summoner job and it would be kinda lame to have everyone be able to summon. I hated that aspect in all those FFs where you could have anyone summon (FFXIII is the worst among them, the summons are just awful).
