In FFXI there was a hidden summon most didn't know called Sublimen King.

It's some naked dude with subligar but this summon was the best, hard to obtain though... \

• He comes up and rubs his subligar on your arm and it paralyzed you, and you couldn't use any WS/Abilities
• He jumps up and rubs his subligar on your face and it was instant death... I don't think their was any way to avoid this other than wearing subligar yourself.
• He raises both arms and shouts Subligar Flash! and it blinds all party members for like 2 minutes if I remember.
• He rubs his butt (with subligar on of course) and it added silence status so you couldn't cast anything.
• He does range attack by taking off the subligar and throwing it like a boomerang, every player that got hit got stunned... was pain in the butt...
• Only way to defeat him was to wear subligar which lessened all the effects of his ability, the instant death change to 1HP so you still had chance to heal your health back and fight.

Once you obtained him and you summon him, while he's summoned out every mob (including NM/HNM) were all paralyzed at random for looking at his subligar. His 2 hour was of course the instant death move, although it was too strong as a summon devs had to make it so it only deals 10k damage.

Siren's probably my least fav summon in FF series, ill take Garuda over Siren any day lol!

I thought Siren was water based

EDIT: nvm looked it up... it's probably wind since it silenced players with her voice/song (or her butt attracted them, since she was bit sexy) I remember old siren mob image with water... can't find it though lol might be wrong.

I guess in FF6 it mainly castes silence, sleep, slow, and Fire... no Aero spell in the list... other site says no element since it's voice...

Well she could be a water and wind mix really. I mean she comes from the water. I mainly remember her from FFVIII, the clip shows he on a rock amoung the sea, something like that.

Hmm, good point. She always felt wind based, but after checking her damage was non-elemental on FFVIII but added Silence (which is probably why it felt wind based) but in VI she was Fire based and XII:RW was water.

While Garuda has been in several Final Fantasies, FFXI is the only one where it was a summon, in others it was either a boss or regular mob.

Astral and Umbral are polarities applied to the elements .=.

EDIT: But that could let us have 2 summons for each element An astral and an umbral.
