If they really wanted to go the route of summoning an Eidolon for a single attack(doubtful since they dropped that idea since FFX when they turned 'em into Pokemon), I don't see what other kind of "pet" class they could add, Maybe Puppetmaster or something similar could make a return once the Garlean Empire story arc is in full swing.
