Sigh, completely off topic but players like Mcshiggs make me glad I learned to play MMOs with XI and not 'mainstream' titles... The notion that DPS output is all-important above all else only serves to breed terrible players.

Well let me just say that wherever you learned to play MMO's I'm glad it wasn't in my groups, and I wasn't saying dps output is everything, sometimes it is, but it has more to do with handholding, the OP wanted to be able to kick a paladin for not stunning eruptions, that is just ridiculous. Sometimes you need as much dps as possible, sometimes you don't, but you should always expect people to be paying attention to the fights and what is going on around them, so if someone doesn't stun an eruption you can dodge it, instead of coming to the forums and crying that someone screwed up your Ifrit run.

As for learning in XI, I hope you got all those mechanics down like which enemies to tank with your back to them and which you don't while the rest of the party punches macros and watches their Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill on the Netflix. I'm thinking had you learned how to Safety Dance from that "mainstream" game you wouldn't need someone to stun those eruptions for you.
